I’m beginning to think the residents of New York deserve every bit of stupid heaped on them by their drooling nimrod politicians. After all, they do keep electing these monkeys into office!

The latest bit of stupid comes from New York state senator Tony Avella, who has decided that New York needs to ban machetes.

No, I’m not kidding. Get a load at this tool.

Senator Settelmeyer’s bill creates reciprocity for anyone who is 21 years old and has a CCW from another jurisdiction. Additionally it eliminates Clark County’s gun registration program. It has been sent to Senate Judiciary and has a hearing scheduled for February 25th at 1:00 pm

SB175 Makes various changes relating to public safety.

Senator Roberson’s bill is a domestic violence gun bill. It prevents individuals convicted of domestic violence from purchasing a firearm. It extends the Castle Doctrine to automobiles. SB176 Revises provisions governing certain dangerous or deadly weapons.

AB100 Requires the Attorney General to bring an action to protect and secure certain constitutional rights of residents of this State under certain circumstances.

Assemblyman Ellison’s bill seeks to have the Attorney General’s office protect Second amendment rights. It has been sent to Assembly Government Affairs and is not yet scheduled for a meeting.

AB127 Provides for the uniform regulation of firearms in the State of Nevada.

Speaker Hambrick’s bill eliminates the gun registration requirement in Clark County, has been sent to Assembly Government Affairs, and is not yet scheduled for a meeting.

AB139 Revises provisions governing the issuance of permits to carry concealed firearms.

Assemblywoman Fiore’s bill allows a law enforcement department to give information about courses on handgun safety, and also allows for the carrying of a firearm with a permit on university property, or other areas. The bill has bent sent to the Assembly Judiciary committee and is not yet scheduled for a meeting.

Assemblywoman Dickman has a bill draft request to revise provisions governing firearms; details are not yet released.

Assemblyman Ellison has a bill draft request to revise provisions relating to permits to carry concealed firearms; details are not yet released.

And since the will not address the intergalactic background check initiative, it will move on to the 2016 ballot.

What's next? Pruning shears? Rakes? Hoes?

If they start banning ho's, Rev Al Sharpton will get involved.

And of course the politicians everywhere else are paragons of virtue, just like the citizens they represent.

NYC it reminds me of the New Yorker magazine, or Vanity Fair If you aren’t a left winger who earns 200 grand+ a year, you don’t qualify to live there....you don’t matter. They are superior human beings. Just ask them : )

I thought you wrote he was trying to ban “matches.” The funny thing is, I thought to myself “He’s a democrat idiot, so I’m not surprised.”

I brought back a machete from Great Inagua in the Carribean when I was a senior in prep school. It was very useful for hacking down weeds and bushes. After I married, my kids found it in the barn, and used it to play knights and dragons. I don’t think they ever managed to kill each other with it.

I’m more concerned about those always-grouchy Klingons. And you know those sneaky Feringhi will sell them whatever they want with no background check whatsoever, and the law be damned.
