It Doesn’t Matter One Bit What Obama Thinks ‘True Islam’ Is
National Review ^ | Feb. 21, 2015 | Andrew C. McCarthy

There may well be a civil war going on within Islam, but it will be Muslims, not American politicians, who settle it.

In Egypt, the president is Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a pious Muslim. Having grown up in the world’s center of sharia scholarship and closely studied the subject, he has courageously proclaimed that Islam desperately needs a “religious revolution.”

In the United States, the president is Barack Obama, a non-Muslim. His childhood experience of Islam, which ended when he was just ten, occurred in Indonesia — the world’s most populous Muslim country, but a non-Arabic one where the teaching and practice of Islam is very different from what it is in the Middle East. . . .

Personally, I take exception to this paragraph and it colors my perception of the rest of the article. President Barack Hussein Obama has said in a ‘gaffe’ , My Muslim Faith, and he has promised to stand with the Muslims before all others. His closest advisers all seem to be Muslim and the white house as an institution practices ‘tacquiyah’ on a daily basis.

So by deed and saying so he is a Muslim and his administration is muslim. Anything else being said otherwise is nothing but a lie and tacquiyah used to spread the faith of Islam by deceit.

There is no such thing as “childhood islam that is outgrown when you are ten”.

Thus this whole article is worthless.

Yer father is a muzzie; SO ARE YOU!!
Yer step-father who legally adopts you is both a FOREIGN NATIONAL and a muzzie—SO ARE YOU!!!

POTUS is a muslim—END OF STORY! (also, end of USA.)

I can relate, but I don’t think he’s a muslim. I think he’s a transnational Marxist atheist. But he is culturally very sympathetic to any non-Western “ism”, especially one at war with the West.

But, hell, I could be wrong, I cant figure this guy out. If he is muslim, I wonder if he’s sunni or shia?

The Pope is a true Christian. He believes what the Bible says and mostly lives his life in accordance with the Bible’s guidance.

Billy Graham is a true Christian. He believes what the Bible says and mostly lives his life in accordance with the Bible’s guidance. Reverend Graham is also a very different Christian from the Pope.

I am a true Christian. I believes what the Bible says and try to live my life in accordance with the Bible’s guidance, although I fall short far more often and in far worse ways than either the Pope or Reverend Graham.

There are many ways to be a true Christian, some far worse than my best effort. Even many of the most brutal Medieval Christian kings feared the church and feared God’s vengeance, moderating their brutality because of the Bible’s message.

_____________________________________________________________

True Islam has similar variability. They have leaders who believe non-Muslims are in Allah’s hands, and do not have to be dealt with through human force (including some leaders in Morocco, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia). They have leaders who quietly fund and celebrate terrorism because that is a faster path to converting or killing those who do not submit to Allah. They have leaders who actively plan, coordinate, and participate in murder, rape, and terrorism as tools to spread Islam. All of these represent True Islam.

_____________________________________________________________

The difference is that the dozens of Christians who initiate violence against the innocent are openly and almost unanimously condemned by True Christians. The hundreds of thousands of Muslims who initiate violence against the innocent are supported or at least excused by almost all True Muslims.

——— the world’s most populous Muslim country, but a non-Arabic one where the teaching and practice of Islam is very different from what it is in the Middle East.-——

Heresy!! That statement can not be..... it flies in the face of Free Republic Dogma. It must be a lie. Surely the hundreds, nay thousands of posts to the contrary can ‘t be wrong?

Can it be that Groupthink can be wrong?

Regarding the need for a revolution, perhaps that is not precisely accurate. The revolution has already taken place. It was gradual and unnoticed. As numbers have grown by the millions within the current modernized nations and cities, Islam has become altered.

In my view, Al Qeda, led by Usama Bin Ladin a wealthy well educated man, and ISIS, the co opter of the Syrian civil war, are the Islamic counter revolution. That is, the adherents are in actual fact radical fundamentalists that insist Islam must revert to the faith practiced for centuries by the Bedouin tribes wandering the deserts of the Arabian peninsula.

Regarding Barack Obama, he has the historical misfortune of being totally irrelevant. His total lack of core principle, of any shred of moral relevancy, of any marrow allowing aggression for killing, of absolute moonbattiness, make him completely unable to act in a historical meaningful manner. He can only watch, dither and provide a daily irrelevant bluster.

Indonesians are Sunni, and I think Kenyans are as well. So he’s from the same party as ISIS and AQ.

However, he’s trying to work out something where Shiite Iran will be a big power player in the ME, because what he really thinks is that he is The One, the caliph that will unify Islam against the West. He’s delusional and crazy...but he may be right, or at least right enough to make life hellish for the West and all non-Muslims until we manage to throw off the yoke of Islam that he is laying upon us.

“religious revolution.”

Unlike most Americans, I listened to al-Sisi’s speech, one of historic importance.
If he is not killed for suggesting reform of Islam, I wish him and all reformers luck. Reform of Islam is the only way to avoid a major war.
I do not think it is possible to reform Islam.

Their prophet and their book instruct them to be at war with everyone else until there is only Islam.

When that happened and Stephanopolis bailed him out, my first thought was, that would never accidently tumble so easily out of the mouth of any Christian.

Islam is a false religion built on fraud by frauds (Muhammad and his successors) with false teachings throughout it's "holy" writings. It is ALL a fake, but one with a demonic purpose.

All Muslims worship a god who is really Satan in one of his many disguises. As Islam is Satan's creation, play thing, and promotion throughout, "reforming" Islam is useless except for some temporary and marginal "peace" with it's avowed enemies (we infidels) while it marshals it's strength. It is an exercise in "improvement" like rearranging the contents in a septic tank "improves" the mix therein. In the end it is useless and there is no improvement. It is still the same foul mess.

Fourteen centuries of murderous and awful world history with this religion has thoroughly revealed what Islam is and represents. The only rescue it's adherents have is the same as it's non-adherents have - turning to Jesus, the Son of God. Otherwise it is just more of the same old toxic brew of spiritual warfare, death, and destruction with Satan pulling the strings.
