The 16th Amendment (declared “passed” in 1913) fundamentally altered the relationship between the federal government and ALL Americans:
Prior to passage of the 16th, Americans were Masters, and government was the Slave.
Post 16th, as we have all seen and experienced, government is Master and Americans are Slaves.

No, we do not need a FairTax...we need to abolish the IRS, repeal the 16th, and REDUCE the size of the Federal Govt. Eliminate all govt programs that are not supported by the Constitution. Make govt live within its means! Can we spell R E V O L U T I O N ?

I’m not sure that you accept the unchanging nature of the situation. To change it will require a change in the “operating system” of the Constitution... or no change will occur.

Sure! I am helping myself and my family by admitting the truth as it exists and taking direct actions where I can directly control the outcome. In that way, I am living both the truth and changing our future.
I no longer worry about taking indirect actions that yield no control or change or rely on persuading anyone else to take an action I favor. They are dead ends of self-indulgence and wishful thinking...
... and it just encourages the politicians.
Them having the gall to make such spending increase requests, when they were caught abusing citizens less than a year ago, is appalling! However, it is a clear indicator that the GOP-e is not an opposition party.
If the GOP-e were fighting for Conservative values, this reqeust would be getting mocked far and wide. However, the fact that I have only heard about it here is a clear sign that our once great Republic is dead....
Turtle is having his white flag dry cleaned. It will be back in time for the big surrender.
