First let me state that “radical” and “Islam” do not go together. Islam has no modifier as somone put it. Islam is Islam as the Nazi’s were/are the Nazi’s. You do not separate the SS Troops from the Nazi ideology any more than you can separate the “radical” jihadists from Islam. To say a group is not an Islamic group when they espouse the very nature into which Islam was brought into this world is maniacal. It’s a fantasy.
The Wahabi’s in the 1800’s traversed the middle east claiming muslims of this sect or that were not Islamic because they committed shirk.Although the sects believed themselves to be Islamic. There is a long history of muslim versus muslim in which the other denies the other is espouse the ideas and virtues of Islam.
To decimate ISIS you would have to denigrate and annihilate that of which they believe. For if you don’t then another grows in its place. Quit chopping off the tails and work on the head of the snake - this would be the books and the works of Islam as a whole. If anyone has actually studied Islam you would see that Islam’s roots are that of Christianity and Judaism except for the fact that every Christian or Jewish story found within the Quran has been twisted in such a way that entreats itself to Islam. Correcting these stories and the author is the only way for muslims to even begin to see the light.
The author of the Quran states that Allah does not change his mind, then how is it possible that the stroies of the New and Old testament are divinely inspired and some the words of God himself changed to that from to being the stories found in the Quran. The answer to that is quite simple, a jealous man cast out of Mecca found solace in the criminals of the time and took by force what he could not by peace.
So people will continue to believe in the violence Islam perpetuates until they have been shown that their belief is in error. For most this will require something that absolutely any leader of any free western country is willing or even ready to do. The populations of these same countries would have the biggest cow this side of the universe that we ever saw. What this takes is talk and use of force. The talk is more akin to forced brainwashing and the force is to squelch all resistance that would come about by the “talk”. The muslims feared the Khans for very good reason. The walked the walk and if you dissented you weren’t just killed, your death was a humiliation to all those who believed the way you did.
With ISIS or any other terrorist organization you just can’t go in and bomb the living beejeevies out of them as they like cockroaches will hide until the threat is gone. When the threat is gone they will scurry back out into the dark and regain their numbers. You can’t just lob a missile here or there. You have to do so with so much overwhelming force that they will be scared just like they were with the Khans.
Until this happens, terrorist groups like ISIS will continue to pop up after their predecessor has been squelched. The solution is a combination of talk and force so overwhelming that the fight is taken out of them and they are now ready to talk. Until the leaders of this world are ready to do that, ISIS and any other group that comes after them will be free to do whatever they want until they die and then rinse and repeat.
When jihadists start a war (again), we need to start defending ourselves by killing imams, mullahs, other "religious" leaders. That stops some of the recruitment of volunteers.

No it's not impossible to believe. Strains within Islam have called for the disappearance of the rock because it attracts worship due only to Allah.
The only thing that will call a hiatus- and a hiatus is all that can be expected- is to deprive Moslems of the resources necessary to carry on Jihad, that is the resources over and above the resources necessary to keep the population at bare subsistence and a tiny ruling class in opulence. Everything beyond that goes necessarily to Jihad. Islamic societies cannot produce any surplus beyond that because of the rapacity of the rulers therefore it must come from conquest and piracy and from gifts extortion of bribes from the Infidels. Selling oil to the Infidels and foreign aid with which Infidel governments have bribed the Moslems for many decades has brought the world to the present pass and it will continue until the Paynim are defeated, the oil producing areas colonized with no compensation to the Moslems and cessation of foreign "aid." All piracy and raiding must then be met with total destruction of the home bases of those enterprises. Then the Moslem world will understand that Allah does not will for Islam to prevail in this generation or in this century. Moslems all over the world will slip into a torpor and apathy and trouble not the civilized world again until more resources come into their hands. It has been thus for a millenimu and will continue thus until every human being is Moslem or until none is.
I wonder if the ISIS jobs will require them to work more than 29 hours a week. If so, they will have to be furnished Obamacare. Will they be union jobs? Should I look for the ISIS seal of approval in the phone book for any handyman jobs I need done around the house?
“Strains” are not the vast majority of muslims. I didn’t say every single one will believe that. The vast majority will have their faith shaken hard.

IF they are muslim I don’t give a damned how nice they are. Islam is their base. They live, and breathe Islam.
I’ve spent time in Europe. I knew many muslims while I was there, and they were nice people, but today I cannot start to trust any smiling muslim face period. Muslims are Islam.
