ess than a year before the first presidential contests begin, a trio of new NBC News/Marist polls show that the Republican race is wide open in the early nominating states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
In fact, seven different possible Republican candidates get double-digit support in at least one of the states. But only two candidates former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker are in double digits in all three states.

perhaps consider that polling today is 100% meaningless....in fact, it’s worse than that. It’s actually misleading.
Remember, Bachman led Iowa in June. Newt was at 0. Then Newt led Iowa by 14% two weeks before the caucus. How did that work out? This is a total total non story.
It’s an NBC poll, which means it is bull crap.
Just Big Media flacking for Hillary! while putting Republicans/Conservatives down.
The rebel base of Brian Williams reports poll numbers? What the hell could be wrong with that? Are we on Hoth or something? Admiral Akbar is suspicious.
Eh ?
Did Brian Williams do the poll? Are these the same polls that never predicted the midterm sweep? Some of them were off by 12%.
Pray America is waking
Eh Tu?
in fact, its worse than that. Its actually misleading.
That’s the purpose of these polls. Polls of this type are meant to shape opinion, not gauge it.
The Cheap Labor Express has paid huge sums of money to make sure they get an amnesty supporting nominee. They want Bush, but will settle for Walker.
Huckabee ain’t working cheap, Grahamnesty probably is.
Changing my tagline...
Secure the Hispanic swing vote.
it’s not that...tho I agree that’s what they want....it’s the media following a narrative that polls always matter, and their liberal bias.
yes, true, but it was a Freeper who posted it. I was really aiming the comments at any Freeper who would consider it at all valid or newsworthy.
FR can be waaaay ahead of the curve but at time folks here just dont fall in with the herd mentality. All in all Im supporting Walker.
Polling in 2007 showed HIllary to be far and away out front and a virtual lock to win the office in 2008. How did that turn out again?
Remember when Rudy Giuliani faced Hillary in 2008? No? That’s what the polls said this far out.
“Its an NBC poll, which means it is bull crap.”
Nuff said....we outta here : )
We who are footing the bills and want to protect US sovereignty are the "bad guys" according to Jeb. Jeb needs to figure out that its not how much voters like candidates.......it's how much the candidate appears to like voters.
Jeb makes the same mistake Perry made---sneering at voters opposed to giveaways---saying they were "heartless."
Candidates hoping to win by flaunting their self-serving "superiority" are doomed to failure.
