Argentina's president formally charged over alleged terrorist attack cover-up

The prosecutor who inherited a high-profile case against Argentine President Cristina Fernandez on Friday reaffirmed the accusations, formally renewing the investigation into whether the president helped Iranian officials cover up their alleged role in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center.
Prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita’s decision to go forward with the case was significant because it sets the stage for a close examination of the investigation that prosecutor Alberto Nisman was building before he was found dead Jan. 18.
Nisman had accused Fernandez, Foreign Minister Hector Timerman and others in her administration of brokering the cover up in exchange for favorable deals on oil and other goods from Iran. Fernandez has strongly denied the accusations, and Iran has repeatedly denied involvement in the bombing, which killed 85 people. …

It's Always About The Money.
Never mind such deaths never covering up, but exposing further.
A great nation like Argentina... has had multiple serious scandals over the years.... and yet somehow there are some Argentinians who do not accept these scandals and who fight back to (try, anyway) to clean them up.
Hopefully a few of these brave, honest souls will join the crowd swimming north across the Rio Grande....!? We could sure use them here!!!
If Argentina really has an energy deficit, it could make a deal with the UK. Tell the UK that they will not impede oil exploration around the Falklands/Malvinas/what have you. Argentina would set up support facilities on the mainland - platform fabrication, major equipment servicing, logistics. Yes, Argentina has shipyards.
But that would be a marketplace solution, and not a political solution.
