As my socialist father says “healthcare isn’t fair until your costs are based on income instead of risk.” Ie healthcare should be an income tax.
That same guy hates his VA health system.

That might explain all the cheesy “it’s your money” type commercials on Obamacare these days. Some dingy “doctor” telling folks that Obamacare is there for them and that their money (subsidies” are just waiting to be claimed so the coverage can become affordable.
I can tell you for certain that there are huge numbers of people who are IINO, insured in name only, I know this because I have had occasion to speak with people in many states in the course of a part time job I have just recently dropped. I have had people read off their premiums, copays, deductibles and total out of pocket costs and it is astounding in many cases. Some have to lay out what was a few years ago an income sufficient to fully support a family before the insurance pays a dime and even then it may only cover seventy percent of a hospital bill. Many have told me that they would be better off to drop the insurance and pay everything out of pocket because that is essentially what they are doing anyway.
Don’t construe this to mean that I am saying Obamacare does not accomplish what it was intended to do. On the contrary it accomplishes EXACTLY what was intended, the destruction of health care in this country. In fact, regardless of how bad you may think it is, it is almost certainly worse than you imagine. The only bright spot I know of is that some people are going to learn that they can get along without doctors. Unfortunately many people cannot and they face a bleak future. If someone tells you something good about Obamacare be wary of them, they are either lying, crazy or just plain stupid.
Anyone who thought for one minute that the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010” had ANYTHING to do with anything in the title other than the year is simply pathetic. To believe that title is equivalent to walking behind a horse and expecting him to drop piles of gold nuggets on the ground rather than steaming road apples. Only the most hopelessly naive person who is still dependent on mama to manage his affairs and put food in his mouth while his hair turns gray should have ever been that stupid.
