I had to run and get the antique cup given to me by a small granddaughter for Christmas. She found it at her school Christmas sale and said, “you just had to have it!”. It says hand painted in Japan in a small circle on the bottom.
The design is on the inside of the blue cup but is very similar.
Thanks for my fun today...checking it out!
That’s neat! I love collecting china.
You doing alright today?
Not looking forward to my chemo session tomorrow, but
otherwise okay. Still bleeding in a few places, but that
doesn’t last long. Trying to keep up my strength with my
diet. Hoping to do a bit of exercise, preferably on the
treadmill to get in a bit better shape.
Bryan keeps buying beanies and knit caps for me. I keep
telling him that my fur hats and hiking/cowboy hats are
just fine. I have a lot of bald patches, but some of my
hair is stubbornly hanging on. Sigh...
How about you? Are you all right? You must be getting
the house in ship shape with that new floor. I hope that
the cats get used to it soon.
Yeah but those "Better Homes and Gardens" people keep coming by to take pictures.
Dumb bastards can't read the sign on the gate.
I just got fed up and released the dogs.
All of ‘em.
And the cats, about three minutes after. So the dogs get a chance.
“Better Homes and Gardens” will wind up as compost.. which they oughta like.
Oh, look.. Axl is bringing me a femur.. so cute!
I didn’t know that you still had Slash and Axl.
I thought that you let them go their own way and live down the
street with the Messicans?
They still run by now and again.
I thought that you let them go their own way and live down the street with the Messicans?
Did indeed.
Those vatos got five acres and a nice fence.
Plus a platoon of kids to play with.
As good as my intentions toward pups might be, running and playing just ain't on the schedule anymore.
Yeah, it’s not for me either. Duh...
Maybe when the nasty-drug chemo is over with and I can get back
to my exercise routine, I’ll be doing a lot better. Four more sessions.
:)
;-) Sorry to be such a pedant, my friend.
I should have sent you a private message. Next time!
It is the very thoughtfulness of the gift that pleases me. I have lots of tea pots as part of my decorations. This cup with no saucer has a place on a shelf. I noticed she checked to see if it was still there when she visited last week.
She may even remember all the tea parties we had when she visited! She had her own silverware and china stored in the cupboard and always ran to get it out when she arrived. Now as a “big “ girl of 12 she remembers.
I have the youth silverware and tea set wrapped to give to her when she has children.
