The Freedom From Religion Foundation is trying to improve the image of atheists.
Never mind much of their image problem is self-inflicted.
When it was proposed that a piece of leftover rubble, that many believe resembled a cross, be included as a part of the World Trade Center Memorial, the American Atheists organization released a statement saying, The WTC cross has become a Christian icon. It has been blessed by so-called holy men and presented as a reminder that their god, who couldnt be bothered to stop the Muslim terrorists or prevent 3,000 people from being killed in his name, care only enough to bestow upon us some rubble that resembles a cross.
The statement provoked ridicule even from the likes of Jon Stewart.
Now, as the movement sets out on a mission to look better to the average American, FFRF is attacking Mother Teresa.

Welcome aboard the good ship Free Republic.
Atheists are deeply sick people.
I pray that God touches the hearts of thevleaders of FFRF and they abandon their exercise in futility...
It's the ignorance that gets me. It's willful ignorance, or really, lying.
One of the cores of Christianity is Free Will. Humans make choices -- you can go all the way back the The Garden to see how badly our choices turn out.
But if we did not have the ability to make choices -- if we had no Free Will -- then would the world be a better place? We'd be mechanical beings. We'd be robots and slaves. Free Will makes us human, and, yes, it introduces sin and all kinds of sadness. We live in a broken world -- and we made it that way.
Yes, there is pain and suffering and loss. But the only way to avoid that is to turn everyone into mindless slaves with no freedom to make any choices.
And I guess that's exactly what the Left and the Atheists want.

And Satan
The difference between a Humanist and a Satanist - the latter admits whom he's working for
"There is no God...and I hate Him"
Neo-Atheists are nothing but obnoxious leftist hipsters that hate Christians and Jews.
If they really had some mission to rid us of religion, then they would start with the only one that is actively killing thousands of people a month. Oddly enough they have no desire to talk about that one unless they are forced to, but even then they will down-play the danger and quickly hope that people move on to something else.
These aren’t atheists. They are anti-Christians. Let’s call them what they are.
Unfortunately for the atheists, it could even be unwillful ignorance. Which is another word for stupidity.
The refutation of atheism’s “argument from evil” is so simple I think I understand why atheists are so defensive about their “intelligence.”
Without free will we are puppets made out of meat.

They are atheists.
I’ve always found it interesting that certain groups of people define their believe system in terms of what they are opposed to, i.e., atheist means not a theist. Protestant means not a Roman Catholic.
So why do these “Heatherns” rage and the people imagine a vain thing against what they do not believe in?

LUKE 13: Modified for today...by me.
1There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4Or those (3000), upon whom the (TOWERS IN NYC fell), and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
I remember the atheist, Christopher Hitchins, writing a book knocking Mother Teresa, trying to say that she was some kind of crook. Brian Lamb had him on C-SPAN and was incredulous at his attacks on the sainted lady.
Atheists feel threatened by all that is good and holy.
