Jordanian king vows 'relentless' war on Islamic State's own ground

(Reuters) - Jordan's King Abdullah vowed a "relentless" war against Islamic State on their own territory on Wednesday in response to a video published by the hard-line group showing a captured Jordanian pilot being burned alive in a cage.

Jordan hanged two Iraqi jihadists, one a woman, on Wednesday and vowed to intensify military action against Islamic State.

"We are waging this war to protect our faith, our values and human principles and our war for their sake will be relentless and will hit them in their own ground," state television quoted the king as saying during a security meeting.

Jordan, which is part of the U.S.-led alliance against Islamic State, had promised an "earth-shaking response" to the killing of its pilot, Mouath al-Kasaesbeh, who was captured in December when his F-16 warplane crashed over northeastern Syria.

Government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani said on Wednesday: "We are talking about a collaborative effort between coalition members to intensify efforts to stop extremism and terrorism to undermine, degrade and eventually finish Daesh." Daesh is used as a derogatory Arabic term for Islamic State.

He said it was a continuation of Jordan's long standing policy in fighting hard-line Islamist militants and that King Abdullah, who cut short a trip to the United States, headed a meeting with senior security officials on Wednesday.

"All the state's military and security agencies are developing their options. Jordan's response will be heard by the world at large but this response on the security and military level will be announced at the appropriate time," Momani said.

And of course 0bama will condemn Jordan’s overreaction to the death of their pilot.

Jordan is the perfect answer. Muslims killing muslims. Let’s fund the effort.

**Jordanian king vows 'relentless' war on Islamic State's own ground**

I know that they are allies of ours in this, but it's a shame that this poor pilot had to suffer such a horrible death before he vowed a relentless war.

I wish our dear leader <spit> would grow a pair before these monsters do something horrible here.

Maybe we all should get behind Jordan’s king. He seems to have the stones & focus our leaders lack.

Jordan never had any interest in sending F-16s into Syria to begin with. They were pretty much forced into that position under direct and indirect pressure from the U.S. That’s why they were perfectly willing to make an exchange with ISIS when they thought the pilot was still alive.

They’ve already done a lot of horrible things here (not ISIS, specifically, but Muslims in general) and I don’t think there’s anything that would get Obama to respond aggressively. You have to realize, he’s not on our side. He’s not even on the side of the non-radical Muslims in the ME.

Jordan is Sunni Muslim, like the Saudis, but has about a 6% Christian population. While it’s got a lot of “Palestinians,” it seems to be focused more on its own goals than trying to take over the world - the way the rest of Islam, Sunni or Shiite, wants to do.

I read that Obama left the meeting with the King of Jordan “very abruptly” yesterday. I bet that the King asked him for support and Obama told him no way.

Obama is having a meeting with representatives of a large number of Muslim groups this week, behind closed doors (no press). Obama thinks he’s the new grand mufti, or maybe the new caliph of the new caliphate, and he seems to be opposed not at all to ISIS, which is furthering his goals.

Meanwhile Saudi Arabia’s response? Build a fence.

Saudis are useless allies that created Jihadism in the first place.

I say depose them and make Abdullah King of Arabia,

The fate of Kasaesbeh, a member of a large tribe that forms the backbone of support for the country's Hashemite monarchy, has gripped Jordan for weeks.

Some Jordanians had criticized the king for embroiling them in the U.S.-led war that they said would provoke a militant backlash but the pilot's killing produced a wave of outrage and calls for revenge.

The only way to defeat Islam is to get them to kill each other. Fortunately that's not hard to do.

Good luck to them. Any dead terrorist is good for the stomach. I hope he bombs them silly. I would suggest napalm. That should get even for burning that defenseless pilot to death. These scum are not soldiers. They are not an army. They are nothing short of pig scum and deserve no mercy. Kill em all. Bomb em. Shoot em. Napalm them. Take NO prisoners. Except maybe to hang them.

Jordan, the original state for what are called Palestinians now, came very close to siding with Israel a couple times over these revolutionaries. It would not surprise me to see it finally happen. Of course, Israel would still need to watch her back with them.

Raqqah needs to be wiped off the face of the earth, by whatever means . No warning , just fly in and decimate it . Then bomb the ruins and rubble . No quarter . THIS should be the message the world sends to ISIS

I say depose them and make Abdullah King of Arabia,

Up until the early 1920's his immediate ancestors *were* the Kings of Arabia (the Hashemite clan). Furthermore, he is purportedly a direct lineal descendant of Mohammad.

The only, and I mean only, time the press should not have access to the president (regardless of who that might be) is in his private quarters. Apart from that, It should be a 24/7 4 year job. Just MHO.

The Saudis think that by building a fence, they can prevent the chickens they turned loose, from coming home to roost.

They are mistaken.
