He asked senators for an agreement to vote on a series of 12 amendments right then and there. Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) objected, and said Democrats would be ready to keep working on these amendments on Friday.

So the Rats demand more time to study a few obstructionist amendments, but had no problem voting for Obamacare with minimal debate and without first reading the bill.

If he’d allowed a number of showboating amendments to be voted on, what’s wrong with putting a stop to it? Harry wouldn’t have even allowed those.

Since Reid cannot block by not bringing bills to the floor, the minority will block by endless amendments to every, single bill.

End result is the same. No bills reach the president’s desk.
