A state of panic gripped Israeli northern towns Wednesday as the Jewish state braced itself for a possible Hezbollah reprisal over last week’s airstrike that killed six party fighters and a senior Iranian general in Syria’s Golan Heights.

Israeli forces were placed on high security alert following reports, which later proved to be false, about an infiltration attempt by gunmen from Lebanon into Israel’s border.

After the Iranian general and top Hizbollah commanders were killed, Iran/Hiz threatened a major retaliation. It may not come in the Golan or Lebanon but it might be a big terror attack on an Israeli or Jewish center somewhere in the world. The movements are to show the scum they're ready.

Alarming factlet from the above link:

Second, Iran views Hezbollah as its strategic arm. Iran intends to activate Hezbollah – whose rocket arsenal of 150,000 exceeds the collective total of most European powers – in the event of an Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities.

Maybe Bibi’s speech to Congress in 3 weeks will be what Israel has done, not what it might do about Iran.

The missile strike hit pay dirt and liquidated a dozen Hezbollah and Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps operatives including senior commanders from both organizations. The Iranians, already reeling from the death of Gen. Hassan Shateri in February 2013 as he traveled from Syria to Lebanon, acknowledged the loss of Gen. Mohammad Ali Allahdadi, a ranking officer believed to be a ballistic missile expert and indispensable to Iranian operations in Syria and Lebanon.

Hizbollah IS Iran in many arenas. Now they say Hizbollah is behind the palace coup in Yemen! Without Hizbollah, Assad in Syria would have been eliminated a long time ago. Iran and Hizbollah are part of the axis of evil. Russia is helping them both. Obama is sucking his thumb in the meantime...

Who’s the blonde with the big glasses? She appears to be about 17 years old and every time I see her I expect her to blow a big bubble with her bubble gum.

And Ronald Reagan stupidly allowed Hizbollah to escape retribution after the 1983 Beirut barracks attack, because his traitorous SecDef Casper Weinberger halted the order to bomb them. Reagan should have fired Weinberger and placed him under arrest for that action -- which has proved very costly in hindsight, along with Reagan's hysterical demand for Israel to withdraw from Lebanon, based on a faked photo of a dead "Palestinian" baby that James Baker showed him (which turned out to be a Druze baby killed by the PLO). RR bears great responsibility for not allowing Israel to strangle the Islamonazi baby in its crib.

Some analysis elsewhere suggested one of two things:

1) The killing of the Iranian general who was conducting a “terrain walk” in a three vehicle convoy, indicated that the IDF’s northern Israel positions had become known and stagnant, greatly facilitating an attack. So by shuffling the deck, they increase the degree of difficulty.

2) Intelligence estimates are that Hezbollah is just about to launch a major attack, with new Iranian reinforcements who have come through Iraq. When the Iranian general was killed, they might have had a lapse in their communications security that the Israelis discovered.

I remember being pissed off at Reagan for not going after Hezbollah after that October 1983 mass murder of (mostly) Marines in Lebanon. One of the biggest mistakes of his eight years as president.
