Obamacare website sends your data to private companies
CNN MONEY ^ | January 21, 2015 | By Jose Pagliery

Healthcare.gov, the federal website where you sign up for Obamacare, is quietly sharing your personal information with private companies.

The evidence is in the computer code on the website itself. It shows that Healthcare.gov is relaying certain information, such as your zip code, income level, pregnancy status and whether or not you smoke.

That information is being shared with several third parties. DoubleClick is a Google (GOOG) subsidiary that serves up advertisements and tracks your movements online. Healthcare.gov also shares your data with Google, Twitter (TWTR, Tech30), Yahoo (YHOO, Tech30), YouTube and others.

"People's private medical data should not be available to third party companies without consent from the user," EFF staff technologist Cooper Quintin argued in a blog post. "This practice is negligent at best."

“Shares” the data, or “sells” the data? That stuff is pure gold and virtually untraceable. Not that anyone in the current administration is corrupt or anything...

Third parties, like Google, Twitter, et al, typically pay for info that is shared. Wonder who is getting paid for our info?

This needs to stop ASAP!!!

"What about HIPAA laws?"

Obamacare legislation excludes the program from HIPPA. They can do whatever they want with your health data.

Agreed. Whether the info is shared or sold, the HIPPA laws strictly control access to this data.

Bump!

Most of the media is not reporting yet another fact which can hurt their messiah. We truly do not have a free and fair press in this country.

To me, Obamacare is a virus. It doesn’t belong here. I just got finished watching the Matrix Trilogy and Obamacare is like that big auger virus, drilling through the structure and letting in all the attackers on the citizens.

Nuke the virus (Obamacare), but also nuke Machine City (the Dept of Health and Human Services (HHS), the heart of the power of the viruses). DON’T replace Obamacare with another unconstitutional government health program, but NUKE HHS and get healthcare back on the solid ground of the free market where we’ve always had the world’s best healthcare for the lowest cost until the feds began meddling in the 70’s.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care act.

As my doctor said to me in mid-2010, “If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it’s free.”

In 2015, no one can complain that `The Most Transparent Administration Ever’ didn’t rattle first before striking.

It doesn’t apply to THEM...HIPPA just keeps your wife and family in the dark about you. ANYONE else has instant access to whatever they want .

Read the exceptions...you will be amazed.
