Indeed, one can’t make it up. This whole Syrian conflict is beyond belief. Talk about yesterday’s enemies being tomorrow’s friends ... The willingness to hand over a complete country - Syria - to al-Qaida (or whatever name they call themselves now) is astonishing.
The talk of a Hezbollah war on Israel is not real. As R-in-Virginia points out, it is electioneering by politicians in Israel.

Iran has never gone to war against Israel. Not in the 1948 Israeli War of Independence, nor the 1967 Six-Day War, nor the 1973 Yom Kippur War.That's because, in spite of all his faults, the Shah was sane.
