HOUSE IMMIGRATION BILL FALLS FAR SHORT (GOPe Snow Job)

Tomorrow the House Homeland Security Committee will take up H.R.399, the Secure Our Border First Act of 2015, which I take it has the support of House GOP leadership. Sadly, the bill will do little to solve our illegal immigration crisis. The Center for Immigration Studies points out some of the bill’s many defects. Here are a few of the highlights:

* The bill mandates just 27 miles of fencing, which may or may not ever be funded. If you think a fence is important, this is a risibly small effort.

Looks like the so called Immigration Security bill is a 100% pure BS job from the GOPe. They think, perhaps with some reason, they pass a bill with the word "Secure" in it despite being toothless and that will keep the base happy. 100% pure kubaki theatre.

You can’t have attrition without full enforcement and deportation. I recall that while my folks and I were living in Los Angeles and there were ever-increasing numbers of illegals coming in - my dad remarked to another white neighbor that the illegals needed to be deported immediately - to which the neighbor replied “but Mr.K they just keep coming back!” And my dad said “not if you drive a wooden stake through their hearts first they don’t.” He was only partly kidding. Only full enforcement and deportation will have any effect whatsoever.
