I have always believed that Obama’s base philosophy is to kill success, and bring everybody down to the level of the lowest IQ people in United States. In his heart he is convinced only reason he was discriminated as a half black person is because of “white privilege”. If the whites are brought down to the level of American born blacks, fairness will be the rule. I emphasize American blacks, because as a group, they are performing worse economically, scholastically and in crime statistics than even the immigrant blacks.

Hmmmm...

Protectionist policies (which drive up the cost of living, and ignore economic realities)="rally for American jobs."

By any chance, are you in the real estate industry? You seem to have a skill with euphemisms.

On the other hand take a look at the heavy traffic of airplanes in Asia (I was there in Feb 2014 for a visit) and almost every airplane is made in USA or Europe. Also take a look at coal burning power plants in China..and there are thousands of them, and lot of that coal comes from USA. Ditto with grains and chemicals. But we certainly have a large trade deficit with China.

Wyatt’s Torch: yes, may be in a “bad” neighborhood of high welfare, high tax countries. Economy is great in low wefare, low tax countries like Singapore, unemployment rate is minus 40%! So they import 40% foreign workers on temp work visa. I spent a week there observing Singapore first hand in 2014.

mongrel: Someting like 87% of Obamacare signees are subsidized by other tax payers.

The worst part is that if he reduced everyone to sustenance level and we “started over”, we would arrive at more or less the same place fairly quickly. There are cultural differences that would lead to the same outcomes, and denying whites jobs and higher education will only go so far in addressing them. Putting “preferred minorities” in higher positions, just to have them rely on “regular” workers to do the real work, is accomplishing nothing.

A friend from Trinidad described a scenario I also saw occurring in Fiji (and had happened in east Africa decades before); Indian minorities controlling large segments of the economy completely out of proportion to their numbers. In east Africa the response (when they became independent) was expulsion of the Indian populations; I don’t know how other former colonies will deal with them. While I applaud the efforts of the Indians, they are living in populations where others refuse to accept that they have to work 80 hours per week to compete with them. Many Americans (operating gas stations, convenience stores, or combinations of both, as well as white collar jobs) are finding themselves in the same position.

Indians are just willing to accept a much lower standard of living, with a much worse work:life balance, and the populations they are competing with resent it. In the end, they do well because of a cultural drive to do so. Where blacks in Newark NJ and New York City targeted Jewish businesses (remember Al Sharpton & the “white interlopers”?) as white populations fled, now they target the Indian convenience stores (see Michael Brown in Ferguson); despite programs to put a black owner in those businesses, it isn’t happening.

You don't "rally" for anything. You mindlessly repeat your inane mantra, without providing even a modicum of evidence you actually understand why the jobs are transitioning overseas. Any story regarding the U.S. economy is posted and you chime in with your "Bring back America jobs" blather.

"GDP disappoints" - "Bring back America jobs"

"Average U.S. income drops for 6th straight year" - "Bring back America jobs"

"U.S. clown car production dips to all-time low" - "Bring back America jobs"

Oh look.

It’s the guy who always criticizes me for saying the GOP really, really needs to support American jobs.

How are you today?

The same scenario repeats with Indians in Singapore, Hong Kong, Caribbean islands, UK, etc. Some of the richest folks in those places are Indians in disproportionate numbers. Jaguar auto is now owned by a Indian. As you said it has to do with cultural upbringing. India is overpopulated with density 9 times that of USA. Only long and hard work can earn you a sustenance. Life is not easy. That trait carries over when Indians migrate to other countries.

But the biggest reason Indians succeed in many places is because higher education practically originated in India. The oldest universities in the world are from India. College education is a big thing in India.

How should the GOP support American jobs?

What are the three best policy changes?

Saying, "Bring back American jobs", is not a policy change.

The three best policy changes would be 1. A tariff 2. A tariff 3. A tariff.

I agree.

China keeps their production local. Yet we sell off our own national assets, to China.

China now has grown to be a bigger exporter, than we are. I agree with you.

We need to bring back production, right here to America.

Tax hikes are awesome.
Is there any problem that can’t be solved by higher taxes?
