Thank you for a civil response.
Two others thought that their disagreement with my distaste for a bit of hypocrisy in a flawed man deserved name calling.
I haven’t engaged in that type of argumentation since kindergarten.

To be sure, his concept of liberty was admirable - however, I only pointed out the inconvenient truth that he - at the same time, owned slaves.

Surely it must strike you as ironic that a man who is most famous for “Give me liberty or give me death!” actually owned slaves.

Merely pointing out that fact got me called an idiot, a jerk and told to go back to Africa (I’m white) and that I should be kicked off of FR.
