The same people (and sort of people) responsible for the population turning into a bunch of whales, is now going to solve it ... by advising what amounts to more of the same. Eat your carbs, eat plenty of soy, little to no meat, and get on that treadmill like a good little hamster.
The biggest illustration of “liberals vs reality” is when they complain about the lack of “healthy food” available in certain communities,
then when they force it in there at our expense,
they just can’t figure out why no one buys it.
(the fact that the reason it wasn’t there in the first place was because there was no demand for it just doesn’t occur to them)

I MEAN FOR EVERYONE. Socialized Medicine will be paid for by an increase in taxes. So why don’t they just include food and raise everyone’s taxes by 25% more? Oh wait, that IS getting close to Communism, isn’t it? /s
I read the site link as “Free Bacon” and thought rather apropos.
If what people wanted was fruit and vegetables, there would be a line at the vegetable and fruit cart, not at McDonald’s. Even with the new system of order at one place and pay at another, McDonald’s has trouble moving the customers quickly enough.
That’s because people want a balanced, tasty, nutritious sandwich for five dollars or less, or half that amount if you use the two-for-one coupon. Usually they provide only a third or less of your daily quota of fat, carbs, and calories, so you eat them at every meal if you want to with no guilt.
McDonald’s gives the kids jobs and teaches them good work habits if it’s their first job.

Plus they’re using corn to make packing pellets so de Blasio and his ilk can put another halo on their head.
