"...when the first reasonable opportunity presents itself."

Bad move including weasel words in the pledge, because it gives politicians an easy way to back out and say they still honored the pledge.

Well, when I vote for Hillary, I may have to send the RNC a note explaining that it was only because they provided “no viable alternative”.

Someone needs to be tarred, feathered and run out on a rail.

“You have no idea why he broke his pledge”

Don’t need to, don’t care. If you don’t intend to keep a pledge, don’t make it.

Fantastic ..!!!

Ah .. Sorry .. but you needed a little bit more hyper-ventilating with all that stuff you said.

And as a “Din maker” - which stands for: a lot of all hat and no cattle hot air .. the Bible calls it, a “factious person”. That’s a person who continually stirs the pot. Not trustworthy.

Better luck next time.

WHEN will we have an “ignore” button on the forum? I am begging here.

Interesting concept. After some time I would only see my comments and marvel about how brilliant I am.

Oh gee .. I forgot .. “You’re the perfect person who always keeps all their promises”.

Sorry .. I didn’t think of that.

But, I bet your family would not agree with my quoted statement ..?????

Your rationalization makes no absolutely no sense to me, nor does it to anyone who gives this 5 minutes worth of thought!

**************

You simply ignore by not responding.

You have got to be kidding. He knows he can’t trust Boehner so it stands to reason that anyone else he votes for has to be at least as trust worthy.

So .. you’re judging what I said by your inability to understand what I said ..??????

Did I get that right ..??

But .. isn’t it presumptuous of you to be making that decision for “anyone who gives this 5 minutes” ..??

Hmmmmm ..?? You’ve only been here since 2012 .. I would presume you do not know ANYONE on this thread; maybe even on this website.

He did not need an alternative. Being another present vote would have expressed his voters’ wishes just as well.

IF the Tea Party was active in getting Mooney elected they should start a letter writing campaign to him, a few letters everyday from different people informing him they will not forget his treason, a few letters everyday a hundred every week until he just drops the next election cycle, that should serve as a clear message to wannabe’s what is expected.

This should be done for every conservative who voted to keep Boehner and the status quo, my congressional representative is a democrat, but I did send a few bucks to Mia Love, I will not let her forget, she said many of the letters of disappointment did not come from her district, yet a whole lot of money came from us she made fools of, my bad I should have known better; mormons have an entirely different agenda and they willingly some unwittingly lie to advance it.

But .. as a newby Freshman .. DID HE KNOW THAT ..??

I mean .. did anybody think to tell him that ..??

I guess you could vote “present”, but most conservatives abhor voting “present” .. mainly because that was what Obama did all the time. And .. it makes people appear as if they do not know what they’re voting for .. and he certainly did know.

Incoming congressmen go through a couple of weeks of orientation before being sworn in. One would expect that House rules and procedures were covered during that.

To his credit at least he didn't fall back on the "I voted for Boehner to keep Pelosi from becoming speaker again" song-and-dance that others have used.

My new Rep. Jody Hice did the same thing! He took over for Paul Broun who voted against Boehner last time and was urging our Congressmen in GA to vote against him this time around. Not ONE GA Congressman voted against Boehner! We are beyond angry! I called Hice’s office after the vote and the poor girl answering the phone sounded like she was going to cry.

I am actually making sense but you don’t get it. Boehner has proven himself to be an outright enemy to conservatives. He lies, he play tricks, all easily proven, and he does it again and again. Your claim that voting for anyone else “because he doesn’t know he can trust them” is therefore invalid because he knows he can’t trust the person he actually did vote for. Between voting for a proven enemy and someone that may or may not be an enemy it makes sense to vote for the person that might not be an enemy.
