CAIRO Egypt's president opened the new year with a dramatic call for a "revolution" in Islam to reform interpretations of the faith entrenched for hundreds of years, which he said have made the Muslim world a source of "destruction" and pitted it against the rest of the world.

How long until he gets the Sadat Treatment?
...By such thinking, the Islamic world is "making enemies of the whole world. So 1.6 billion people (in the Muslim world) will kill the entire world of 7 billion? That's impossible ... We need a religious revolution."
By which he means Reformation.
Probably not a bad idea.
...What a refreshingly honest statement to come from not only a political leader but a Muslimpolitical leader who has much to lose, not least his life. Contrast his very true words with the habitual reassurances of the Western establishment that Islamic world violence is a product of anything and everything but Islam.
Impossible.
How do you 'reform' this?
Sura (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution of Muslims is worse than slaughter of non-believers...and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."
Or this?
Sura (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"
Or this?
Sura (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"
Any reformation would require a rewrite of the Koran. And they believe the Koran is the most perfect book.
We are at war. Ann Coulter was right - kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.
I’m sure Hillary, Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood are deeply saddened by these remarks. This is not what Obama and Hillary had worked so hard for in Egypt. Poooor Hillary.
Rather amazing - but Egypt is older than Islam and may not be ready to be destroyed by the cult.
My view......
The reformation is already well along.
The terror is retaliation by those opposed to the reformation present in very large segments of the Islamic world. The ouster of the Brotherhood in Egypt was in effect a return to the reformed status quo
Good to see this guy (not appointed by the Anointed One) pushing for religious reform. Unfortunately, Islam was founded on the premise of “DOMINATION”. Until people are willing and able to remove that aspect from the “interpretation” of the Quran, it will be “status quo”. Islam has been killing, murdering and subjecting everyone in it’s path from 615 AD all do to a psychopath they call a “prophet”.
Some of the old testament dictates changed with the new testament’s “Love thy neighbor,” and “Let him without sin cast the first stone.”
There is not one mention of “love” of the common man or woman in the Koran. Any different interpretation of the Koran or its “Theology,” loosely using the term, would be blasphemy and would cause immediate savage slaughter.
Al Sisi is undoubtedly on a hit list.
Al Sisi is royally ticked at Obama and his support of the Jihadists.
Look for the administration to cut Egypt out of its will.
.....Yet the one holy book which will forever be the number best seller is............the Bible.
Because remember the “real god” of Islam is SATAN.
And it is SATAN who calls the shots in that cult.
Oops, his life insurance will soon be issuing a check to his heirs.
...In a short speech given during the mass, President Sisi said he was there to wish them a Merry Christmas.
President Sisi said that the world is watching at Egypt during these difficult times and urged Egyptians to remain united as one hand.
Dang it! Too late for the 2015 Celebrity Dead Pool deadline...
Mark Levin speaks about it:
Despite MB, Egypt has had some good things there, I’ve met people, cosmopolitan and a lot of poverty there but a lot of them get along with the Israelis, Christians, etc. The radicals are destroying whatever they can.
