Yes, folks, an analyst on PMSNBC has equated Jerry Falwell's lawsuit to the murder of 12 human beings over a cartoon.

The message from the Powers That Be -- "We're giving you a beat down! Shut up and take what we dish out! You don't like a beat down?? Tough! You're getting one!! If you protest in any way, then you deserve a beat down but being difficult!!"
They hope to put us into a Lose-Lose situation.
I suspect that the worm will turn, and that they will be surprised at the coming reaction.

That’s often the problem with the Left — no sense of proportion. Since when does a law suit equate to spraying a workplace with automatic weapons?

Typical MSDNC "thinking".

Did the moron strain his back contorting for that one?
Another moron rationalizing mass murder.
To: SoFloFreeper
That’s pretty amazingly stupid right there.
When I got the New Yorker mag with the Easter Bunny hanging on a crucifix I threw it in the garbage can without opening it.
But I can honestly say it never crossed my mind to murder the cartoonist, editor, printers or delivery drivers.
And no, it would NOT have been OK to do so, because the picture offended me. Which is all it did. It didn’t poke me in the eye, or punch me in the nose, it didn’t even call me names.
GET A CLUE!!!!!

No one took the porn king’s guns away into gun free zone. It was a civil case, not a crimnal one, let alone a criminal attack. What a fracking moron.

I don’t remember the details but a few years back Time Magazine had Billy Graham on the cover in a very disrespectful way. We didn’t subscribe but Mr. Mercat would bring them back from his mother’s. I told him it was not allowed in my house in the future.

That is not the same at all. The attack on Falwell was a personal attack, not a a satire of a religion. There is no equivalence between Falwell and Mohmmed. Mohammed didn’t sue the magazine.

Yes, and Falwell LOST the case because it was considered "satire".
Even Scalia pounded that point home.
In an ironic twist, Falwell and Flynt later ended up as friends.

It was a personal satire, not satire of a region. Falwell was not a God, but he was a public figure, who should have had no expectation of reverence.
