Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com)- A number of veterans say they’ve received a letter from the Veterans Administration (VA) offering them “free gun locks” if they fill out a form which asks for their address and the number of guns for which they need locks.

Federal Law prohibits them from requiring that information so they try to entice the gullible to comply.
Anybody that can’t afford a lock (which Federal Law requires the seller provide for a new gun, anyway) shouldn’t be able to afford a gun, IMO.

Ridiculous.
Of course, it is comical now. Wait until they take their next measure, which will be increasingly tyrannical and extreme.
It should be 100% clear to anyone who has been paying remote attention that Obama and his administration will at some point declare the ownership of firearms as "restricted" for veterans, anyone who ever had insomnia, anyone who ever took a mild anti-depressant, etc.

Doesn't seem a little odd to send you a
letter asking for your address? Kind of like IT asking you to email them if your computer isn't working.
For entertainment, you could list some very nasty weapons, (I need a trigger lock for my RPG), give them your liberal neighbor's address and then watch the show when the BATF shows up.
