“The “false information” about voting for candidates other than Boehner leading to Nancy Pelosi becoming Speaker was spread by my Republican Congressman Scott Perry of Pennsylvania in media appearances on local talk shows.

Perry was defending his support for Boehner last time.”

Thank you for this info. Typical RINO tactic.

Unfortunately, my rep is a RAT (Yarmuth), who won’t even answer phone calls. He has spoken out with stupid statements more in the last month than his entire time in office. I wonder if he is considering running against Rand Paul in 2016.

These articles....and calls/faxes/emails/tweets to Reps and family and friends, need to go viral by tomorrow. Tuesday is the day they vote, correct?

Absolutely!

We need the mainstream press to pick up on this also. Let's send the info to the mainstream press too!

Dump the bonehead and his six martini lunch. Tanning salons in D.C. will get an infusion of business, as will cocktail lounges.....

We also need to target other forums to get the info out there and generate excitement for Louie.

Yes. Split vote cannot win it for Pelosi. Dems have 188. R has 246.

Only 29 R need to not vote for Boner.

12 did not vote for him last time.

Liberty Caucus has 36, which is more than 29.

What are the long shot odds Boehner would see the writing on the wall and withdraw his name? Zero? Snowball in H*ll?

texas has 25 R members - 4 of which are on in house liberty caucus... were any of the original 12 members of HLC or texas? If not....

12+25+36-4[if texas stands w/ Gohmert]= 69 or so....

add a few in Ga and it’s 60. Before long it’s real money.

From an old Roll Call

http://blogs.rollcall.com/218/cruz-secret-meeting-for-house-conservatives-boehner-immigration-topics/?dcz=

(For those keeping track, there were 12 Republicans who didn’t vote for Boehner as speaker the last time: Gohmert, Huelskamp, Justin Amash of Michigan, Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma, Paul Broun of Georgia, Walter B. Jones of North Carolina, Raúl R. Labrador of Idaho, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Mick Mulvaney of South Carolina, Steve Pearce of New Mexico, Steve Stockman of Texas and Ted Yoho of Florida.)

"vote for an adult American citizen"

That's a loaded requirement.

It's time to grow up.

I hope the next Speaker will be voted on also based on his ability to read and comprehend what he has read.

It’s encouraging that some republicans are now confident enough to make public statements of intent to become the new speaker. Of the two men, Louie Gohmert is more well known than Yoho, but we shall see. Last time we went through this selection, a Senator Labrador expressed interest in becoming Speaker. I hear nothing from him now, so perhaps his interest has now waned.

I'm going to be all over my congresscritter tomorrow morning to encourage him to support Louie ... and dump Boo Hoo. He's conservative enough that he just might do it.

Louie Gomert is a great American and also Ted Yoho.

Yoho just voted for the Obama-Boehner amnesty cromnibus bill. Don’t be fooled by his fake conservatism. It’s all for show.

It is certainly time to put up or shut up. Talk is cheap and I hear many congressmen in the GOP talk tough but act soft.

Since Louie mentioned Ted Yoho, I went to his site to find out more about him and definitely don't want him as Speaker.

Here he makes excuses for offering the bill that allowed all the spending.
