In an interview with Rolling Stone, Nicki Minaj confirmed what many fans had questioned: she had an abortion while she was in high school. While Minaj doesn't say she regrets the decision, she did say that it "haunts" her to this day.
Minaj had previously alluded to an unborn child in her song "All Things Go."
From Rolling Stone:
"When she discovered she was pregnant, "I thought I was going to die," she admits. "I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through." She ended up having an abortion, a decision she says has "haunted me all my life," though it was the right choice for her at the time. "It'd be contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice. I wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a child."
My heart aches for her--it's sad that Minaj felt like she had no other option but to have an abortion. I admire her bravery in speaking honestly about a very difficult subject. While websites spout claims that women "rarely" feel guilt or shame after an abortion, it's clear that some women do--and their stories should be heard. Organizations like Rachel's Vineyard exist to help women and men who are suffering after abortion, and I hope Minaj is able to receive help to deal with her mental anguish.
So haunted she profited from it.
Yes, she should have hid all traces of it, and never spoke of it, even now.
Murdering innocent human beings does that to you.

There is a good chance Nicki Minaj may be the next celebrity battling breast cancer.
You did apparently have one thing to offer the child, Nicki. A death warrant. Sick sick woman needs to realize WHY she is haunted.

As someone who fears surgeons, I can’t even imagine going through all that cosmetic madness.
I can imagine laying there and having the “cosmetic surgeon” walking in with a bicycle pump and a jar of silicon calking. The sight of the square injection needle would get me up and run for the door!
As for the abortion, I would use the stirrups to propel me with a leap that would have put me in the Olympics long jump. What a waste! Nicki Minaj could have been the next Olympics star!
Nicki leaves it to us to interpret what “Haunts” means.

Who the hell care about you, idiot!
That kid would have something worth more than all of the money you have.
The ability to live a life! To pursue his or her own dreams, to be the person that brings joy and comfort to others. Who knows, when you are old and washed-up with hours to live, and no ability to take all of the fame and money with you, that person may have been the only person there to hold your hand when everyone else forgot who you were.
The trouble with that approach is that there is nothing hidden from God.

Someone had complained that she was profiting by telling others of her pain.
I was simply mocking. Would it be better that she never let anyone else know of the pain her own actions caused her?
In the bigger picture, whatever profits she may make are irrelevant, the real profits will be gleaned by those who heed her words.
Some are unable to grasp the larger story, so focused are they in punishments.
