Ann is a FRiend, which is why we should voluntarily send her the traffic.
Like Rush (although not nearly as effective IMHO), Ann has a talent for keeping liberals on blood pressure medication. I tend to like anyone with that skill set. We all know why they are in the business and we need to recognize it for what it is. In Ann’s case, I prefer to just focus on what she writes, I don’t need to point out the occasional hypocrisy, She’s never asked me to vote for her so I just don’t care, I simply like the read when a good one comes around.
If that’s your preference, by all means excerpt and link.
My preference is to post articles in there entirety, including a link to the source. Using the link is entirely voluntary.
That way a reader can read the entire article without being forced to click on a link to continue. If the reader enjoyed the article, the source link is there if the reader has further interest.
Either preference is a compliment to the writer and can drive traffic.
We’re of a similar mindset on this. I enjoy her writing. That’s where she shines.

I used to get frustrated trying to listen as half the time all the internet would do is buffer—until the commercials, when it would magically run great! When Quinn made the day’s show downloadable, it was sweet, as the webmaster [Dave] cut out the commercials to save space. Still took 45 min to download a 16mb file with a 33.6 dialup, now it takes just a few seconds. Dave told me he about fell out of his chair when he saw someone click in and download 3 shows in about three seconds via a T1 line, big stuff—back then! Har!
