Sen. Jeff Flake Urging Pro-Amnesty 2016 Candidates Like Jeb Bush to Skip Iowa

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who has pushed comprehensive amnesty legislation as a “Gang of Eight” member, is trying to advance the notion that a Republican cannot win the White House without supporting comprehensive amnesty legislation.

He even suggested that pro-amnesty 2016 Republican presidential candidates former Florida Governor like Jeb Bush ignore voters in Iowa (home of conservative stalwart Rep. Steve King) and entirely skip the first-in-the-nation nominating caucuses to avoid having his pro-amnesty views scrutinized.

In an interview with the Daily Beast, Flake reportedly called Iowa’s first-in-the-nation status on the presidential primary calendar “one of the very unfortunate parts of the presidential primary structure for Republicans” because “often we spend so much time trying to win Iowa we can’t win the rest of the states.”

Flake feeds information to King's democrat opponent.

He is third in offering amendments on House floor after Jeff Flake and Sheila jackson-Lee. You can't always pass a bill but he has highest percentage of success in getting amendments passed.

Mowrer says Senator Flake [of Arizona] has asked King to stop claiming that, because it's not true.

It is good that Steve King is kingmaker not Ayotte, Gowdy or Lindsey Graham.

Also McCain is a veteran who ran against Messiah Obama. I dont know if McCain would have survived otherwise. Jeff Flake was working as a lobbyist for the Apartheid government in his prime.

He promised a secure border, had a good fiscal record and the Club For Growth painted Wil Cardon as an evil rich guy who hired illegal aliens at one of the dozens of businesses he owns.

I don’t know if the 2016 GOP primary and caucus schedule has been set because I would be interested to see how many states, especially the ones who vote early, will allow crossover voting. The GOPe is gonna need Democrats to vote for Jeb, something they will be happy to do since they know he’s a weak candidate in November.

I have a less Flakey idea. How about Jeb Bush just skip the whole damn thing?

Sorry RINO’s, people are onto you. You can’t play those games anymore. Well you can, but it would be a waste of time and you will lose!

Having the amnesty pimps skip Iowa does not make the statement that you have to be pro-amnesty to win. It says the exact opposite. It says they know they can’t let primary voters find out they are amnesty pimps because they’ll lose big time.

When JEB said he wanted to win without conservatives, that is the first thing that came to my mind. What if he intended to run only in northern states, west coast states and Florida, where he thought he could easily win. Then he would count on his control of the super delegates to carry him the rest of the way.

I can certainly imagine the GOPe to trying to bypass “we the people” entirely if they did not like their choice.

Flake is wrong. Being pro amnesty will not help the GOP. McCain went to extreme in supporting illegal aliens in 2008 - yet the Hispanics voted for Obama.

The GOP shouldn't be concerned about the "illegal vote". After all, they can't vote...theoretically.

They should be concerned with the LEGAL Hispanic vote. And they can actually win those votes...but only if they adopt a strong anti-amnesty stance.

In Texas this November, Gov. Greg Abbott was known to oppose amnesty -- and he came close to winning the Hispanic vote (46%). In fact, he did win the Hispanic male vote.

More important, perhaps. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick was an even more strident opponent of amnesty -- and he won the Hispanic vote! Moreover, Patrick's Democrat opponent was, wait for it, a "wise Latina".

And this is a perfectly logical result. After all, most legal Hispanics have been here for generations or jumped thru the legal hoops and consider themselves Americans -- not Mexicans or Guatemalans. And just whose jobs are the illegal aliens going to take?

The GOPe needs to open their damn eyes and recognize where their real opportunity lies when it comes to the Hispanic vote. But the stupid SOBs give every evidence of being blind as bats...

Flake is just that - a Flake...now Jeff, JOIN the Democrat Party...if you want the candidates to ignore Conservatives. Us Conservatives are going to ignore Libs like you and Jeb...

Quite correct! The only reason the Hispanic vote has been trending Democrat is because it has been becoming more and more watered down by those who have been coming to get the free stuff and are less likely to consider themselves Americans. Remember that the original Hispanics in this country included those who fought against Santa Ana.

La Raza's constituency is illegal aliens. Not Tex-Mex; they're Americans.
