Republicans just won the Senate majority last month. But can they keep it?

A cursory glance at the 2016 Senate map shows a slew of endangered Republicans up in two years — with few opportunities for offense as in 2014, when the GOP won nine Democratic-held seats to grab control of the chamber.

Politico's initial take on 2016. I sure hope that McCain gets a serious primary challenger.

The last time the republicans had a majority in the senate they basically let the democrats run it anyway.

Oh my! They are “endangered” so they better start acting more like democrats, says Politico.

Does Political (a liberal rag) ever write about the tenuous situation of the Democrats? Were they concerned when the Democrats committed electoral suicide by voting for Obamacare in 2010? How many Democrats lost their seats in the House in 2010 for voting against their constituents?

All that is needed is for every Rino and every Rat up for reelection be challenged by a conservative, if “We The People” are enthusiastically engaged in the process then we can have the House/Senate and POTUS Cruz 2017.

We must start now identifying, encouraging and supporting those candidates.

3 isn't a "slew".

Also:

Colorado

Incumbent: Michael Bennet (R), 1st (full) term

"Strongest potential 2016 general election challenger: Attorney General-elect Cynthia Coffman (R)"

Bennet is a 'rat, not an endangered Republican senator. The writer needs to be a mental contortionist to find ways to make this happen.

I am certain Kirk (GOPe - Illinois) can be beaten. If not in the primary, then certainly in the general.

2016 isn't a tenuous situation for Democrat senators. They're all running in Blue states.

I think we’re seeing a federalization of senatorial elections, where the red states have slowly shed their Democrat senators while the blue states are still slowly rejecting their Republican senators.

The Democrats have fewer red state senators to worry about defending, so they can act more radically without having to worry about saving the skin of senators coming from more conservative states. This would be fine.. if we had a Republican caucus with enough backbone to fight this.

Kirk may be as good as GOP can hope for from IL. He’s not much, but he’s better than a 2nd Durbin. Toomey, on the other hand has been a disappointment to many. PA needs to find a strong primary opponent.

Its been two years now since Pat Toomey caved into pressure from Michael Bloomberg and walked into a room to endorse anti-Second Amendment legislation.

He appeared with Democrat Joe Mancin of WV to push the anti-gun law proposed after the Sandy Hook school shooting.

Chuck Schumer supposedly wanted to be in the room, too, but Toomey asked he not be there....

The political machine of the GOPe including the NRA will gear up in 2016 and tell me how pro-Second Amendment Toomey is and a lot of folks will buy that stuff.

I don’t believe that crap anymore and hope we have a more conservative candidate here in PA.....

I won’t be sorry to see Kirk go. In fact I plan to work against him. If he somehow wins his primary I won’t vote for him.
