Sorry FReepers but I have to vent somewhere, so here goes:
Now policemen are being associated with the KKK, protested against and being assassinated, in their squad car, just for going to work. I wonder what would happen if EVERY SINGLE cop in NYC and Ferguson, MO decided upon one certain week to call in sick or take a personal day everyday for that week. I wonder how they citizens of those two fair cities would like have absolutely no police protection for an entire week, or for a few days until the National Guard was activated and called in? Let me just enjoy thinking about the prospects of that happening for a few minutes.
And how many innocent victims would they then be responsible for?
We don’t need to escalate a war between the cops and the people.
In New York, they will be going to all calls in two cars, with two cops per car. This means that police will only be able to respond, at best, half as often.
It will become very chaotic quickly.
Just one day would do the trick.
Look - it’s time to stop pretending. The ‘civil rights’ movement has morphed into a ‘criminal protection’ agency. I have no desire to see decent cops die to protect lowlifes. It might be time to call the ‘community’ on their disgusting ways...

Never should we have allowed the government to unionize against us.
Firemen and cop unions, and they go on strike? They should face desertion charges and prison, or worse.

Holy Crap!!! There you go already. What about some responsibility on the PERPETRATORS of the crimes or the people who hate cops and protest and riot in the streets? How about them being “responsible”.

I think we should give them time off for all the stress they are going through..remember the colleges that let the communist so called protesters take time off and not have to take test.I THINK THE GUYS SHOULD HAVE A MONTH OFF AND LET THESE GREAT CITIZENS TAKE CARE OF THEIR CITYS.
I would like to see it. Just call it a STRIKE for better working conditions. Lefties will be very sympathic.
Yesterday I was reading some other FReepers idea of how the NYPD should call in sick on New Years Eve.
Can you imagine Times Square and other locations filled with millions of people ready to party?

the usual cop haters who have provoked nuts to kill police and who even on here will disappear for a couple of days and then return to posting about cops shooting dogs will be happy until they are beaten or one of their loved ones is.
I associate this race baiting with the Palestinians. gimme gimme gimme and in exchange I will attack you until you gimme more.
The race baiters and their radical supporters need to ether be imprisoned or banished from this country.

I imagine - from the NYPD POV - there is already a war between the people AGAINST the cops. Between the "I can't breathe" protesters on the left and "Cops are scum" libertarians on the right; I imagine the cops really do feel alone and set apart by the people.
It's bad enough that Whites, Hispanics, Asians, Jews, etc ... (all of us who aren't ‘black’) have to buy security systems for our homes, arm ourselves, and lose the value in our homes in order to run away from endless black criminals.
Blacks can protect their own neighborhoods. Give a portion of city tax money to Sharpton and the NAACP and let them protect the ‘community’. Maybe they can hire black panthers. I don't care. Maybe they can hire black thugs straight out of prison. Whatever they want. Their 'community' is NOT worth the life of one cop - white, black or Asian...
