History can be a pernicious thing. Cuba was the country that parked nuclear missiles(with help from their Russian masters) on their island aimed at us. Who was in charge when this happened? The Castro brothers I believe.
Normalizing relations with Cuba will not bring change to that island nation. The Castro boys need to die before that happens. JFK is still regarded as having been a fine American president but he screwed the pooch when he pulled American military support from the BofP effort. He could have helped to remove the Castros from power and restored freedom to that island nation. But he did not. We are still having to deal with the aftermath of that mistake...
