An anti-harassment training at a Catholic university in Wisconsin encouraged employees to report anyone they hear criticizing gay marriage to the school’s human-resources department.

A presentation at the Marquette University training featured a story about a fictional wheelchair-bound employee, “Harassed Hans,” who had been overhearing his co-workers Becky and Maria talk about “their opposition to same-sex marriage all week,” according to an article in the National Catholic Register.

Marquette is run by the Jesuits. So I guess if fellow Jesuit Francis II shows up on campus and states that marriage is between one man and one woman, Francis has spoken about support for Civil Unions, he could be reported for harassment. Would Marquette thrown Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI out if he came to visit? I am Catholic, and in good conscience I will not send my kids to the prominent so-called Catholic Universities. The only way the seems to actually try to be Catholic is Catholic Univ in DC but I could even be wrong about that.

Too many cowards are afraid to face the Homofacists. I would like to see a lawsuit pitting the “Gay Mob” against the Catholic hierarchy. Remember: The Catholic Church has been effectively resisting tyrannical governments since 33 A.D.

The whole problem is especially at so-called Catholic Universities the “gay mob” and their Leftist allies, including the clergy who run these places, have taken over. It seems the Catholic hierarchy at least in the USA are too cowardly to do anything about it.

A male freshman from an Ivy League school recently confided in me that he had been raped by nine female staff in the faculty lounge. He had been tricked into going there ostensibly to go over his Psychology 101 term paper, which was getting an “F” because it did not seem to sincerely support homosexual marriage.

When he arrived at the staff lounge, he was hit from behind with a softball bat. He crashed to the floor, breaking a glass table, and then he lost consciousness. But when he came-to, he found himself on the floor among the glass, being held down and raped by the nine Women’s Studies Department profs. He remembered some of their voices, and what they said, while they did it.

One of them named “Sandy” said, “Think gays don’t deserve equal rights? Try this one for size!”

One of them named Gretchen came at him with.....

(You get the point. I could write the Rolling Stone agitprop in my sleep.)

See #4. My scenario is more plausible than the one at UVA.

“Hans is right to report Maria and Becky’s conversation,” the presentation stated, adding that he should do it “right away.” According to the Register, university spokesman Brian Dorrington told Catholic News Agency that all employees had to attend an anti-harassment training “in accordance with federal law.”

The slip and slide of Jesuits into liberalism continues unabated, ping!

What has the world come to when a Catholic can be fired from a Catholic Univ for following the Catholic Catechism. I guess if I was a Marquette employee and I had the Catechism opened at the section about the theology of sexuality and marriage and someone walked by and saw then I could be reported and fired. Of course there all the Biblical passages condemning homosexual acts that I guess are now firing offenses for expressing or reading at Marquette.

You meantt “truth” right? As in gay parents are more likely to be pedophiles? For some reason gay couple choose the same sex as they are? Too bad we can’t have one of their children take a hidden cam in for a few weeks so we can prove what we already know about their lifestyle is true...

This is not much less appalling than a "Catholic" school branding the expression of Catholic views as "harassment." Reminds me of how Soviet children were encouraged to turn in their parents for anti-government speech.

"VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Presiding over the wedding of 20 couples in St. Peter's Basilica, Pope Francis celebrated marriage as the union of a man and woman playing complementary roles during their common journey through life.

"This is what marriage is all about: man and woman walking together, wherein the husband helps his wife to become ever more a woman, and wherein the woman has the task of helping her husband to become ever more a man," the pope said Sept. 14. "Here we see the reciprocity of differences."

Compare the us catholic hierarchy to the little sisters of the poor, in light of the catechism, tradition and biblical teaching, and cowardice is the only word worth saying

You need to understand the difference between a "church" and a "university".

Also, for that matter, the difference between a "Jesuit" and a "Catholic".

If a denomination doesn’t want the loose behavior of a university to reflect back on it, then it should not lend said university its name. Sounds simple to me.

"The only way the seems to actually try to be Catholic is Catholic Univ in DC but I could even be wrong about that."

There are a few smaller Catholic schools that are still Catholic (Steubenville, Thomas Aquinas), but I don't think that ANY of the Jesuit-run schools are adhering to Catholic teaching.

“Marquette University is a Catholic, Jesuit university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin...” From their website.

Would they not be part of the RC church?

It’s hard to defend for the RCC, but keep trying. Or, see truth.
