The U.S. military will subject Syrian rebels taking part in a new training program to psychological evaluations, biometrics checks and stress tests under a screening plan that goes well beyond the steps the United States normally takes to vet foreign soldiers, a sign of the risks the Obama administration faces as it expands support for armed groups in Syria.
Officials said the screening program, developed chiefly by the U.S. Central Command, will rely on what was described as a “common core” of screening protocols, including running trainees’ names through U.S. and foreign intelligence databases, collecting biometric data and, when possible, seeking information from fighters’ home communities. Rebel commanders will be subject to additional screening.

I’ve encountered the work of some of these nut case psychologists.
Recently I reviewed the work of a psychologist from Ft. Bragg who was brought into the military as a Colonel with no military experience, just a doctorate in psychology with much of her work in the prison system. Her work was laughable it was so bad.
She, with no medical degree issued a report stating that there was no TBI or PTSD after interviewing the patient in a confined setting while under extensive medication. This was after at least four MD’s and psychiatrists evaluated the person and said there was TBI and PTSD.
Based upon her evaluation the Army is dishonorably discharging a man with extensive combat experience who was also blown up by an insurgent’s truck bomb while serving three tours of duty in Afghanistan.
Her psychology license should be revoked and she should be court martialed as she was practicing medicine without a license in a forensic setting.
These are the people we now rely on for our psychological evaluations!!!
They have to stress test to see how well or poorly they will hold up under WH micro-management ...

They are making the assumption that using lawyers and sociologists is the best way to conduct a war
Think about it. Would you trust any psychologist to do a “psych evaluations” on syrians and be able to tell you whether or not the syrians eventually would kill you and your family. Really? Really????????
If these tests were used domestically it would probably run into the “culturally-biased” argument pretty quickly. What makes the Pentagon/Administration think that the test results will be valid?
I agree with the “biometrics” part. At least we can ID these guys when they eventually sell their services to the other side.

There’s a journalist out there who was captured by one Syrian force and then escaped, recaptured by other Syrians and passed around among supposed opposing forces.
He will tell you that there are no good guy to be found with arms in Syria.
Only the small percentage of Christians and Jews who remain in Syria, are worthy of trust and refuge.
