MSNBC COLUMN: Why I can’t believe Darren Wilson
MSNBC ^ | 11/28/2014 | Adam Howard

[SNIP]

Wilson also testified that even after being shot and wounded several times, Brown continued to “charge” at him, with an intent to kill. “When he stopped, he turned, looked at me, made like a grunting noise and had the most intense, aggressive face I’ve ever seen on a person. When he looked at me, he then did like the hop … you know, like people do to start running,” Wilson testified.

It’s hard to fathom what is more absurd, the idea that a multiple gunshot wound victim would keep coming for more, or that a grand jury would believe it.

I’ve never been accosted by the police, which makes me something of a statistical oddity. I assume however that if I ever am, I would be terrified and I certainly wouldn’t attack an armed officer. I’m not a coward. It’s just that I just don’t have a death wish. And, contrary to some peoples’ opinions, neither do the overwhelming majority of African-Americans.

This is why it’s hard for many to understand Wilson’s story. Basic common sense tells us that if someone has a gun and you don’t, you don’t pick a fight with them and you certainly don’t run at them full speed with your arms out while being fired on. Brown tested positive for marijuana, but not for a drug that historically associated with aggressive behavior like PCP. Nothing in his history supports the notion that he was prone to sudden, heedless violence.

The concept of physically overpowering black males taunting police to shoot them feels like a myth while the prospect of being targeted by an overzealous white person, who’s finger is on the trigger, is a reality that plagues many African-Americans.

The tone of the article is very similar to that of New Jersey Senator Cory Booker's article, which he wrote when he was 22 ....

One question please ... were there other witnesses who CONTRADICTED the above corroborating witnesses?

That picture of Cory Booker must have been taken 100 pounds ago.

Nothing in his history supports the notion that he was prone to sudden, heedless violence.

At least nothing like throwing around a guy half his size while stealing some smokes.
Or fighting the officer in his police car.
Those are the signs of intentional violence, not heedless violence.

Yes, and when he still had hair. Of course, I don't know if Booker is deliberately wanting to be bald today ( Yul Brynner style ) or really bald...

Yeah, I read this and was not really shocked by his hatred of white people. He failed to mention the riots and looting on Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills after the OJ trial. Nobody ever brings that up. Oh, never mind.

So, this skanky lib is now advocating for and pro-second amendment. At least something good came out of this.

“It’s hard to fathom what is more absurd, the idea that a multiple gunshot wound victim would keep coming for more, or that a grand jury would believe it.”

So, despite hundreds and hundreds of battlefield incidents in dozens of wars where a soldier was shot in his extremities 2-3-4-5 times and kept fighting, it must be the case in your utterly inexperienced mind with zero direct knowledge that the first shot was to MB’s eyesocket, rattling around in his skull and shredding his brain, but he kept coming at Wilson, who then proceeded to place 5 or so shots into MB’s arm.

You have to wonder just how bloody stupid people can be when they are on these jags. It’s the liberal analog to the most crackpot UFO and bigfoot stories there are.

How many, and of what nature, were the gunshot wounds the would-be cop killer had received PRIOR TO his final, fatal running assault?

The author should research cannabis psychosis. Anyone can have it, even at low levels, but especially those who smoked during adolescence.

This is MSNBC. I do not even need to read one word to know that this article is completely insane.

It is the literary version of 'divide by zero'.

Bottom line: Wilson is alive. Brown is dead. Better than the other way around.

The dimwit author of this article needs to explain why Michale Brown had a gunshot wound to his hand that autopsy and forensics have shown could only occur if his hand was 1/4 inch or less away from the muzzle.

Nevermind. Facts are totally meaningless to these irrational turds.

Why I can’t believe Darren Wilson- because the facts don’t fit my agenda. Therefore they must be ignored.

I understand all the corroborating witnesses were black. Or, at least that is what the prosecutor said.

There were lots and lots of witnesses who were worthless. Read the testimony, the police would turn off the recorder and say, “you’re lying” ... then turn it on and the witness would admit he was lying and say something else, often as silly.

A few witnesses said that Mike Brown got down on his knees in the middle of the street, put up his hands to surrender. The officer then walked up to him and pumped him full of bullets and he fell over in the street dead.

Some said the officer kept shooting him in the back until Brown died.

Really, it’s scary how some of the witnesses lied.
