Some in US Illegally Could Get Retirement Benefits
Nov 27, 2014 By JIM KUHNHENN Many immigrants in the United States illegally who apply for work permits under President Barack Obama's new executive actions would be eligible for Social Security and Medicare benefits upon reaching retirement age, according to the White House.
Under Obama's actions, immigrants who are spared deportation could obtain work permits and a Social Security number. As a result, they would pay into the Social Security system through payroll taxes.
No such "lawfully present" immigrant, however, would be immediately entitled to the benefits because like all Social Security and Medicare recipients they would have to work 10 years to become eligible for retirement payments and health care. To remain qualified, either Congress or future administrations would have to extend Obama's actions so that those immigrants would still be considered lawfully present in the country.
None of the immigrants who would be spared deportation under Obama's executive actions would be able to receive federal assistance such as welfare or food stamps, or other income-based aid. They also would not be eligible to purchase health insurance in federal exchanges set up by the new health care law, and they would not be able to apply for tax credits that would lower the cost of their health insurance.

The ACLU and a dozen other Hard Left advocacy groups will be in Federal Court demanding those public benefits, probably the same day the E.O. goes into effect.
Hard Left activist judges will write favorable opinions before the sun sets.
ABC News, which published this article, will instantly start showing news reports on critically ill immigrants, on homeless female and child immigrants, and on hungry immigrants.
These new immigrants will have every Federal benefit available within the first year, and they will be American citizens and Democrat voters within 5 years.
This is exactly what Boehner and McConnell want, and they will do whatever it takes to help Obama succeed.

Okay .. let me get this straight.
We have been told for years and years that SS and Medicare are going bankrupt .. RIGHT ..??
And .. now we’re being told that possibly over 5 million people are going to be added to the distribution from these already bankrupt funds .. RIGHT ..??
Guess what the end result will be: THE CURRENT SENIORS (ANYBODY OVER 65) WILL BEGIN TO WONDER HOW MUCH LONGER THEIR SOCSEC WILL BE AVAILABLE. For many people, this will mean the total loss of income. Most of these seniors will not be capable of doing any kind of job to earn enough money to pay rent, buy food, etc., and pay for healthcare. They will either be required to beg for food/funds, or they will become homeless, living on the street.
I think that’s exactly what the liberals want. They have designed ObamaCare to kill off all of those who happen to remember what America used to be. The reason for this is to have only a compliant, dependent population.
The Founders of our country told us there would be people like this to watch out for. Now, the challenge will be to get our Congress people to see what’s really happening to America, and be willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to change things; regardless of what the MEDIA says.
I guess time will tell whether America still has a backbone.
If that includes bartenders, you may have a tough time with that one.
It was suggested several years ago (maybe applying to terrorists) that non-citizens of the USA do not have the protections of our Constitution.
That is, they have none of the “rights” provided to our citizens. Not even to those rights protected by the first ten amendments.
If we want to give them their rights on a case-by-case basis, fine and good. Foreign tourists, for example, should be given wide leeway.
But a non-citizen does not have the “right” to access our COURTS, welfare, retirement, social security, unemployment, or other systems.
They will also be voting in some urban areas, count on it!
So it will take another huge Federal bureaucracy to police and administer all of the above.
It would be far cheaper to just enforce the current laws on the books and e-verify.
One particular Indonesian will get Presidential benefits!

Well, DUH... The easiest way to get SocSec and other senior programs back on more sound financial footing is to reduce the number of folks tapping that resource.
When Social Security was (wrongly) created, the average longevity among the American populace was significantly lower than today. Actuarially, it worked. By killing off a good number of the current or near term recipients of these benefits, there is more to go around for the survivors.
That is simple math. And, even Zero and the 0bamunists can do simple math. They really only need to get past the baby boomers.

...having my way, States would strut their 10th Amendment stuff by simply “defunding” the Federal government. Instruct businesses and self-employed that the State is now the only legitimate payee for taxes owed. Contributions to Federal programs will be made as approved by State legislatures.
For too many years businesses and the self-employed have been an invisible collection kettle of the Federal government.
To me, the fly in the manure pile appears to be validating an illegals purported earnings and payment of taxes and FICA. Illegals have used some mix of no papers and falsified documents. Some employers made payments using falsified SS information provided. Others have likely pocketed funds withheld and the employer share of FICA.
What employer will admit to knowingly employed illegals much less having pocketed Federal-State withholding funds?
And to my knowledge, few if any States have weighed in with a position on prior tax liabilities.
Unintended consequences abound...or not.

A group of Democrat Senators (including Al Gore’s father), raided the Social Security funds years AND YEARS ago .. and put the funds into the GENERAL FUND.
WHY .. SO THEY COULD SPEND IT. The democrats had full control of the govt for years and years.

It’s not the number of people on it .. it’s the number of people under 65 who have been allowed to have access to it, because they are disabled, etc.
When the repubs had the congress for 12 years, they DID NOTHING to stop this wholesale thievery by our govt.
And now, the Democrats want to spread the money thinner and thinner.

Let me tell ya, if supermarkets had no workers showing up for a month, do you think it would send a message? It would be a ghost town at every mall.
Government would come to a screeching halt. State taxes would go to zero for a month. So would the government tax revenues.
Highways would be bare. Amusement parks would shut down. Radio and TV adds would got to zero. Nobody buying anything would result in a lot of problems.
Schools would close down. There would be no kids for a month.
Perhaps the American worker would get a bit of respect for a change.
I agree. Do whatever it takes to jerk these guys back to attention. We expect a U. S. First policy. We won’t accept less.
Most "malls" already are. I think their future will be conversions to public housing. Although I've read a number are housing server farms.
