Mary Landrieu’s ploy over the pipeline backfired. She said publicly she had the votes and she didn’t. It’s hard to escape the conclusion that Democrats are writing this race off. Still, Cassidy needs to do more than win the December 6 runoff. He needs to win by a landslide so as to send a message to D.C.

I see a bit of irony here in that Obama could have signed on to the pipeline and used some George Soros money to train inner city youths for welding, machine operation, heavy equipment operation and computer tech and put 10,000 or more to work making $75,000 (or more) a year. But his ideology won't let him.

As a liberal he needs to keep those people on the plantation. But in the end that helps his opposition. -- Yuk, Yuk...

Cassidy will win. The Tea Party, his opponent Maness, and Palin are all united behind him. Plus the Dims threw Landrieu overboard.

The message should be that the democrats can write off Louisiana in the future.

She had YEARS to lobby for it. She was a good little liberal and kept quiet. Karma is a Landrieu.

http://lapolitics.com/2014/11/is-there-life-after-death-for-louisiana-democrats/

In terms of modern politics, the Louisiana Democratic Party will likely enter 2015 at its weakest point ever. But in terms of politics dating back to the 19th century, the party of the donkey has been here before, and it has always managed to bounce back.

Democrats were the proverbial underdogs upon their birth here in the mid-1830s, until the Whigs folded and gave way to their first rise. There was another lull during reconstruction as well, but Louisiana Democrats rallied by 1877 and their second coming commenced.

The century that followed was more than kind, with Democrats winning practically every election for governor. It wasn’t until names like Treen, Roemer, Foster and Jindal starting chipping away at the streak that a reversal of fortunes even appeared possible.

Now Democrats are on the verge of losing their last statewide elected official, with U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu trailing in the polls. Recent weeks have also seen the party laying off more than a dozen staffers and two top directors as money becomes elusive.

I would love for the rat party to be gone for at least 100 years.

The liberals like to rewrite history. We need to have huge parties the day that Hussein Obama moves out of the white house — “The Worst President in Our Nation’s History” parties. This will make rewriting history a little more difficult for the libs.

Obama should always be remembered for the sorry azz president and person that he is.

The GOP needs to trumpet from the rooftops that Landrieu's PAC has raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for liberal Democrat anti-oil members of Congress. The anti-oil votes of those senators more than offsets the pro-oil votes that Landrieu casts.

Agree. C'mon Lousiana. The Louisiana purchase for Landrieu's vote on (forced) TOTALITARIANCARE gave credence to the deceiver-in-chief and his lyin' architect, Jonathan "stupid Americans" Gruber.

A 100% win for Cassidy would send a nice message.

Cassidy will win by a 60-40 margin. Write it down.

That would be very good news…a nice right hook to the jaw of the jabbering socialists. Thanks, abb. Noted.

I’ve been waiting 18 years to put that heifer out of business. She stole the election in 1996 from Woody Jenkins. I was heavily involved in his campaign, and I took it personal.

Has Attorney General Buddy Caldwell endorsed Landrieu? I heard that he may have done so. He will face intraparty opposition in 2015 from former U.S. Rep. Jeff Landry of St. Martin Parish.

Not that I know of. Caldwell is another RINO weasel that needs to go. He’s part of the 90% of lawyers that give the other 10% a bad name.
