The political science is settled.

The empirical science disagrees.

Your “line of attack” reasoning will never work. The more you attack, the more they will find ways to silence you.

It is too late to think in terms of how to get people to see how wrong they are. They have blind fanatacism so the only true hope is to steer it toward something beneficial.

Control of CO2 lies on two principle factors - population growth and phasing out carbon based fuels. Both of these can happen with little disruption to the world economy by going for a massive ramp up of safer nuclear technology worldwide - Thorium and pebble bed reactors which are intrinsically impossible to melt down.

Cheap, carbon free energy would satisfy all parties’ needs. It will allow rapid economic improvement in the developing world, which has been proven to work every time in reducing birth rates. It would fuel economic growth especially in the middle class in the US.

This approach worked to create a nuclear coalition for Britain in the 1980’s and it can work now, but it requires people with common sense like you to stop slapping these well meaning buffoons in the face, and start helping them to see that nuclear is what’s best for the children and the poor and the birds and the bees.
