DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Grocery store chain Kroger is getting a push from a group of mothers to ban guns from its stores, including Harris Teeter locations.
Moms Demand Action on Thursday delivered more than 72,000 petitions to Harris Teeter's Matthews headquarters. They want the company to ban openly carried guns, even in jurisdictions where "open carry" is legal.

Yes, they need to use their SNAP/EBT cards in peace.
I have a Kroger card I use in Dalton, GA and a Harris Teeter card I use in Washington, DC...
:)
“...72,000 petitions...”?
Yeah, those Kroger shootouts are the worst!
Harris teeters has already responded to this group with a denial.
Truly well edumacated journalists likely meant “signatures”. I could be wrong though.
That’s MY cabbage!!!!
I feel so threatened at a Harris Teeter.
Well done there HT. If I lived in the area I know where I’d be be shopping.
We shop there regularly. It is a very fine upscale store.
Cue picture of Ferguson looter mob as a counterpoint.
It is a group with “
Mothers” in the name of the group. The membership component that consists of mothers is irrelevant.
Too funny. Thanks for the laugh.
Can’t these tw@ts find better hobbies to occupy their time, like a knitting circle or book club?? I feel bad for their kids being alone while Mommy is traveling the country agitating people minding the law and their own business.
