My strictly anecdotal impression is that anti-Semitism is on the rise here in Bavaria. But it is necessary, I think, to understand it is the sort that believes that Jewish money dominates America and would involve Germany in a war with Russia over Ukraine or make war over oil. It actually believes that the war industry has that much power.

But understand this is not the same matrix by which conservatives would judge the world, not with respect to anti-Semitism, but respecting the power of the left to inveigle America into bad foreign policy through weakness. They simply do not understand the conservative view, are utterly ignorant of the left right axis in America, and have virtually no exposure to conservative opinion.

So they are utterly ignorant of George Soros but fear the Rothschilds and Goldman Sachs.

So the poster who observes that this is a throwback to the prewar years strikes a chord with what I have been hearing. But it must be understood that my exposure is very limited and entirely anecdotal.

Just today I received this e-mail from a neighbor complaining about Wall Street:

und auch die Kommentare. USA überspannt den Bogen. Jetzt heizen sie einen Konflikt mit Russland über die Ukraine an. Insbesondere Wir heir haben die Arschkarte.

Selbst die Dummen in Deutschland kapieren langsam, dass wir keinbe Freunde der Wallstreet sind, sondern nur gut sind deren Ziele umzusetzen.

I should have excluded Orthodox Jews from my comment. Generally, these are staunch conservatives. But, please note the Hilly Clinton/New Square Village scandal, which is a stain on the Orthodox Jewish community.

For 1.5% of the population with no conservatives, we sure do have a lot of conservative voices in the media.
