A Milford parent is questioning the two-day suspension of his 10-year-old son from Stacy Middle School.
Nickolas Taylor, a fifth-grader, was suspended after pointing an imaginary ray gun - his finger - and mouthing laser sounds in the school’s cafeteria last Friday, said Brian Taylor, Nickolas' father.
“I think this is very slanderous toward Nickolas and his character,” said Taylor. “It was non-threatening. He’s just a typical boy with an imagination.”
A conduct slip, written by Assistant Principal Noah Collins, lists the offense as a threat.
Collins could not be reached for comment despite numerous phone calls and emails seeking comment - nor could Stacy Principal Nancy Angelini. Superintendent Robert Tremblay also did not return phone calls and emails.

Time to home school.
I know of a school where the black kids can commit assault and battery and will not be removed from the classroom.
The white kids will be suspended for the exact same behavior.
That’s for the purpose of punishing whites and blacks at EXACTLY the same rate as required by the District and the 0bama Administration.
Things are bad in Marxachusetts, but this sort of nonsensical farce is repeating itself all over the country.

War on Boys. I would think some clever lawyer can do a Title IX suit against these stupid schools and their rules that target boys.
All this does is serve to reinforce the notion that government is blind, stupid, capricious, and brutal.
How can he be a threat if Ray Guns aren’t real?

The girls are using official school policy to bully Nicholas. They can laugh in his face with impunity.
But NOOOOOO. He had an Evil Pretend Gun. So, that makes any punishment justifiable.
Hope that the kid's dad has the common sense to treat his suspension with the level of discipline it actually calls for.
Maybe he was imagining it with a pistol grip and a rail full of scary looking things. Probably best to play it safe and suspend him...maybe kick him out. What if next time he imagines it as fully auto?
I would imagine that the preferred liberal solution would be to surgically remove the thumbs from all boys upon entering school. Not only would it eliminate this problem but this would also have the advantage of eliminating all male sports AND assuring all wymyn, total dexterity advantage.
Such a simple solution! /s
