I think they would deny.
Why should 1 of the 3 “co-equal branches” of the federal government
run to 1 of the other 3 “co-equal branches” of the federal government
because they thought 1 of the other 3 “co-equal branches” of the federal government
was not respecting the Constitutional contract?
The Judicial Branch would likely tell the Legislative Branch
that the Constitution provides them with the remedy
for any dispute they may have with the Executive Branch.

If a Republican president tried something similar - like for example instructing the EPA to stop enforcing all environmental laws and halt all current prosecutions under existing law - you can best believe such an injunction would be obtained before the close of business today.
