Paul calls for House resolution and lawsuit against Obama actions
The Hill ^ | 11/20/14 | Peter Sullivan

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Wednesday night that the House should pass a resolution opposing President Obama's immigration executive action, setting up a lawsuit against him.

"What I would recommend to the House is they should immediately pass a resolution saying that what he is doing is contrary to the will of the House of Representatives," Paul said on Fox News. "That would set up, I think, a very clear-cut case in the court."

Republicans have been searching for a way to stop Obama's immigration actions, set to be announced in a speech Thursday night.

Paul, a likely presidential candidate, has a strategy that differs from another possible 2016 hopeful, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). Cruz's plan calls for blocking Obama's nominees in the Senate until he reverses course, as well as including language blocking the actions in spending bills.

Serious question. Why couldn't they do both?

EXACTLY. Good grief, this isn't rocket science...! Why not activate every non-incompatible response *possible*?

Start impeachment proceedings (yes, I know that he'd never get convicted in the Senate), break apart the Omnibus Bill into specific categories (and deny funding to anything not absolutely necessary), set up lawsuits from as many fronts as possible, from as many states and venues as possible, and have the governors ignore the EO completely. And the kitchen sink.

Sure go ahead and sue him Paul. A lot of good that will do when he has access to the most powerful lawyers in the land. Rand Paul is just another grandstanding mouth I have learned not to trust. He’s just trying to give the appearance of doing something for the votes...a silver spoon fed politician with no experience of poverty whatsoever.

**********
Why are they still searching? They’ve had plenty of time to figure out a plan of attack by now. Stop deliberating and start laying out a specific chain of actions that will be implemented. Geeze, these pantywaist Pubbies are frustrating in the extreme.

Thank you for laying that out. You did in five minutes what the feeble Pubbies can’t seem to do in weeks.

Please see my related post #9.

They can but this is ‘The Hill’ and they want to promote anyone but an ‘extreme terrorist teabagger’ like Cruz (in their thinking).

You comment is relevant here. If Paul won’t passionately work against same-sex marriage and abortion on demand, then why expect him to do anything against Executive Amnesty?

If Obama blew a man’s head off on the front lawn of the white house, with 500 witnesses... should congress pass a resolution to do something about it?

Or should someone already in authority to uphold the law arrest him for murder?

:) I hear you. A friend once told me that the GOP, in general, seems to view “harrumphing” as a complete and adequate response to any danger initiated by the Dems, and I believe it!

“Hey, hey, we *did* do something against the assaults on our freedoms! Didn’t you hear us harrumph and grandstand, these past few days? What’s the use of us harrumphing and grandstanding, if no one pays attention or gives us credit for it?”

If the chicken sht Congress won't impeach this criminal fraud in the WH, the people should take it upon themselves and impeach him. Use your imagination.

The actions of odumbo are his “in your face” challenge to Congresses authority. When he gets past this, he has only begun and will continue to the end of his term or “death”, which ever comes first.

Note to Congress: Prepare for the fights.
