"I start with the Constitution, where Article II, Section 3, requires that the president take care that the laws are faithfully executed," former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said on Sunday.

"From my perspective, I don't think the president has the authority to amend, repeal or suspend the law or fail to refuse a law based solely on policy." Gonzales, who served in the George W. Bush administration, was speaking to CNN's "State of the Union" with Candy Crowley.

Alberto, Alberto, Alberto. While you may have been Attorney General, you obviously missed some classes about folks like the lyin' king. Look deep into his eyes (if you can stand it) and see if there's even a glimmer of "IGAS" in there. You won't find any trace of it. To paraphrase a line from an old Beatles song, "But he don't care!"

“I start with the Constitution, where Article II, Section 3, requires that the president take care that the laws are faithfully executed,”

Which is exactly where Hussein turned against America and the Constitution.

Obama Doesn't Have 'Authority to Amend, Repeal, Suspend the Law'
Then how the hell did he make over 25 changes to (no)ØbamaCare AFTER it was already signed into law?
Where's the GOP been on this?

The kyng has taken to himselfe an absolute power, without ane constraints, to remyke the law. ca 1527

They recognized their king was a tyrant. Our guy is not even a king.

Does his constitutionally installed political opposition have the guts to recognize and confront the fact he is about to usurp their authority and is on the verge of leaving them impotent?

So the Congress should pass:

(1) a spending bill that funds almost every government activitiy at the same level as now — for a term of two months.

(2) a spending bill that funds the Department of Justice at a reduced level and that:
(a) expressly prevents any funds from being spent to oppose, legally or physically, efforts of the States to protect their own borders.
(b) repeals any law or regulation that would give Feberal border control officers “superior authority” over State border control officers.

Then two months later, pass the same type of bills— but take a scapel to a different Government Department.

And so on....

I do not believe the majority of the Repub party has goals that are clearly adverse to the best interest of our nation. However, it does seem clear the party is cowed or throttled by a passive leadership. The more recently elected members who may better represent the voters are likely blocked from taking effective action.

Reminds one of the movie Zulu wherein soldiers standing in a long line were limited to one box of ammo while the perimeter was about to be overrun.

The Brits, at that earlier time, no doubt would have said it was ungentlemanly "to kill 22 peeps with 10 rounds" just as they believed it ungentlemanly to read a foes mail (intelligence intercepts).

It appears, unfortunately, they currently stand by and watch their sovereign deteriorate. Not the best role model. No, I do not have any ill will against the Brits but fear we may be following in their footsteps.
