More on Scott WAlker’s interview on “Meet the Depressed”. Scott handled that impertinent Chuck Todd quite well.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, tis Wisconsin interest ping list.
Walker is right. Governors make better (more effective) presidents.
Of the three current Republican governors, I’d like to see a ticket with any of these three:
Mike Pence
Scott Walker
Nikki Haley
backup: Bobby Jindal
Walker is especially appealing because he has won THREE statewide elections in a DEMON RAT state. He is also a man of faith....that counts a lot in my book.
Pence is good because he has shown fine leadership in Indiana, and has been effective there.
Nikki is a great governor, as is Bobby—they also add “diversity” (I know, I know).
The drawback for Pence, Haley and Bobby is that they’re winners in already Republican states.
I’ve gotta be frank: one reason Mitt Romney got my vote was because he was able to win in a Demon Rat state.
But there are other Republican governors out there....
Christie does not get my vote, though. Too liberal.
Obama......... an absent senator who got the presidency by affirmative action
RE: Walker is right. Governors make better (more effective) presidents.
Let’s say it’s Walker, who would be a good VP for him? Another Governor?
Too soft on immigration there.
The guv who is conservative and strong on illegal immigration—and would make Hillary weep is OK’s Mary Fallin.
Tell the Shamnesty pimp to shaddup.
Where to look for the 2016 ticket — — firmly in the direction of Ted Cruz. NO OTHER Republican has shown his courage and strategic thinking.
Scott Walker is close behind Cruz and would make an outstanding VP pick.
All I have to say is Sarah Palin.
VP = Governor Susanna Martinez. Female and Hispanic vote.
RE: All I have to say is Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin on immigration:
http://www.ontheissues.org/sarah_palin.htm
Supports a path to citizenship, but no amnesty for illegals. (Oct 2008)
Never supported Pat Buchanan for president. (Sep 2008)
Has not often expressed views on illegal immigration. (Aug 2008)
OpEd: Palin is sick to death of this immigration
nonsense. (Mar 2008)
Address jointly with Canada the border security challenges. (Jan 2007)
Immigrants want more vocational training & senior assistance. (Oct 2006)
Took no action on Alaskas sanctuary cities. (Sep 2006)
Tightened restrictions on illegal aliens drivers licenses. (Sep 2006)
That's a No-Brainer.
RE: VP = Governor Susanna Martinez. Female and Hispanic vote.
For your reference:
SOURCE:
EXCERPT:
New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez opposed President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, saying government should not order people of means to buy health insurance.
But Martinez, a career prosecutor until her election as governor in 2010, decided for one reason not to fight Obamacare.
“It’s the law of the land,” she said in a recent interview.
Martinez, a Republican, said her position solidified after the U.S. Supreme Court decided last year to let stand the federal law to provide health insurance for nearly every citizen.
In early 2013, Martinez said New Mexico would expand Medicaid to cover as many as 170,000 low-income residents.
somebody like Kasich who’s served in Congress and won 2x as governor of a dem-leaning ‘swing state.’
Interesting critique.
Maybe yes, maybe no. It has been said by previous occupants of the "second chair", the job ain't worth a bucket of warm spit.

We have a pretty good bench right now in the Governors. I agree we should look there instead of Washington.
Amen, Mr. Walker. Give us a Governor, not a Washington politician.
