Obama vows to use executive action on immigration before new GOP Congress sworn in
The Washington Times ^ | November 9, 2014 | S.A. Miller

President Obama said Sunday that he plans to proceed with an executive order to ease immigration laws before the end of the year, despite dire warnings from Republican leaders that it will damage his relationship with the new GOP-run Congress.

Mr. Obama said that he’s waited a year for the Republican-run House to act on the bipartisan immigration bill passed by the Democrat-run Senate, and he can’t wait any longer to address the country’s immigration problems.

“I’d prefer and still prefer to see it done through Congress. But every day that I wait, we’re misallocating resources, we’re deporting people that shouldn’t be deported, we’re not deporting folks that are dangerous and need to be deported,” Mr. Obama said in an interview aired Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Mr. Obama has been warned against his plan to unilaterally grant legal status to undocumented residents by House Speaker John Boehner, Ohio Repubican, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Kentucky Republican likely to become majority leader when the GOP takes over the upper chamber next year.

Illegality to take control of the country with foreigners is not “reform”.

You’re right. That just makes Congress’ job easier. Priority #1 on getting sworn in: impeach that ... Can’t even begin to express it without getting banned for language.

If the Pubbies don’t stop him now, the POS is just going to keep upping the scope and audacity of his power grabs. This is a battle the Republicans must win. Losing this is not an option.

There is no law or lack of a law preventing them from enforcing existing laws. Who are they deporting that should not be deported? LOL

This is a beautiful thing. He is going to force the issue to explode across America and force the GOP to either act or all hell will break loose. Because they will do nothing but pass it on their own terms otherwise.

What an idiot.

Republicans, pay attention. A Republican president will be able to do exactly the same thing.

This statement should be repeated to all Democrats. Over and over.

He is taking the country straight into a constitutional crisis of unprecedented proportions. This will shake the political foundation of this country. But he doesn’t care about that. All he cares about is himself and advancing his toxic and radical agenda.

Every single sentence out of this turd’s mouth is a lie. It would take serious effort for a normal person to construct a narrative in which EVERY SENTENCE is a lie, and to issue such a statement with a straight face.

The sole focus of Obama and the Progressive Left right now is to import enough illegal alien voters to make sure the White House is perpetually occupied by Lefists. The “National Popular Vote” initiative will seal the deal.

From their point of view it doesn’t matter how many so-called Republicans there are in Congress, since the White House and its massive bureaucracy are now the true government of the United States. (The rest of it is just Kabuki theater to keep the peasants from getting overly riled up.)

I’m sure Boehner and McConnell will have some very harsh words after Obama grants amnesty to millions of illegals. That will sure make me feel better.

The country has ignored and forgotten it’s foundations. A massive shaking is exactly what needs to happen. It would be best for govt to stop acting like Lords but that will not happen of their own accord. So this is the result.

"Republicans, pay attention. A Republican president will be able to do exactly the same thing."

You know better than that.

Any Republican EO more controversial than parking laws would have the Dems and the media (ah, but I repeat myself) in the streets with torches and pitchforks, and he'd cave before Happy Hour.

This is where we find out if we elected a useless GOP or not. IF they cannot impeach then we know it is useless.
