No, I'm saying that if pot is legalized the cartels can't "recover that lost revenue by increasing/improving their heroin/meth/coke trade" because they can't force people to buy and use their products.
And legalizing any drug (with non-excessive taxation) will not give the cartels license to do as they please, but will reduce to negligibility their involvement in that market - just as legalizing the drug alcohol reduced to negligibility the bootleggers' involvement in that market.

Not all of us want to be under the influence of MMJ. No more than they want for booze or other drugs.
Pain can be brought down with out the bad part. Or so they claim. Without having to ingest the cancer causing agents from smoking it. Like any other pain med there is Miss Use of it.
Of course there are many that do not want to be under the influence, that is why it is a choice.

Most people that use cannabis for medical reasons do not smoke it, they ingest it in edible form. It is almost impossible to measure one’s dosage by smoking it. With edibles, ie a tincture or a capsule, it is easily measured and dosages will not vary.
Any aspect that gives you a ‘bad’ effect is just simply bad for you. Like over drinking then driving. Just like the cancer causing agents if you smoke it.
I understand about the medical end it is the Cancaboid part that they ingest or take.
Biggest deal it is still federal level ILLEGAL. States can pass all the laws they want to legalize it, but the Federal law voids them. Simple Civics on government.

Same as being drunk. I watched what it did to my sister and her husband, their kids were neglected over their need for weed. Weed was the more important item in their lives, not their sons. Thank GOD they wised up and got clean.
It’s too bad that the only example you have of people using marijuana are your sister and her husband. In my experience, their behavior is rare. I’m guessing they have a lot of other problems also. I can see why you consider being high, as bad.
