Walker victory humiliates labor
POLITICO ^ | 11/5/14 | TIMOTHY NOAH

Scott Walker’s victory is a humiliating loss for organized labor.

The Wisconsin governor’s challenger was Democrat Mary Burke, a former executive at Trek Bicycle Corp. It was no photo finish; with 72 percent of precincts reporting, Walker was up 6 points. But Walker’s true adversary in this re-election race — and for the four years that preceded it — was the labor movement. He won every time.

I’ve been thinking Cruz/Walker...but Walker/Cruz would work too.

I would happily vote for Cruz as well.

(But please people, let’s all get behind one once the primaries are complete).

I wouldn’t blame anyone though for not getting behind a Bush. gag me. He, to me, is the worst case scenario.

Walker had union interests from all over the country going after him, and he still won. I think that is HUGE.

I want Cruz as Majority Leader, we’ll need him there to keep the POTUS in line.

I think Susana Martinez would be an excellent VP choice.

Labor has humiliated itself. Walker just provided another stage for them to perform on.

I will get behind Cruz. I have zero affinity for the GOPE. If they nominated another stinker, I will NOT be behind them

Walker should run for president.

They’ve thrown everything at him, INCLUDING the kitchen sink, all of the appliances, silverware, the knives, the toilet, and he still beats them like the little bitches they are. He knows how to WIN, and do it with CONSERVATISM!!

They have GOT to be scared to death of him at this point. I’d take Walker over Jeb or Christina any day! I do like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and MAYBE Rick Perry - if he’s learned how to do public speaking without being an embarrassment. During the last primary debates, he made Bush look like a Scholar....

Of six anti-labor governors the AFL-CIO targeted for defeat earlier this year, Walker occupied pride of place. “It’s not been tough for us to get volunteers in Wisconsin,” Trumka boasted late last month on MSNBC.

Trumpka is a union goon, ex-hit man, and should be in jail, so I'm very thrilled to see Walker kick his ass.

I agree. What we need is a new face on the Rep ticket. Not the same ol’ families/names. W was a good and decent man, but not an effective President. He was too much wanting to be the nice guy, can’t do that in DC. Cruz & Walker would call it like they saw it and not worry about playing nice.

Walker/Cruz preferable. Walker seems the more thoughtful and deliberate in manner and utterance.

Cruz would be wasted as VP, Majority Leader is his calling, IMHO.
