But it is.
I forget, is it next tax year that the penalty taxes for ‘super premium’ health plans go into effect, or is it this year that the mobs get their surprise gifts?
This election is about the complete failure brought about by unfettered implementation of liberal policies - policies that the NYTimes itself advocates.
And that argument needs to be made at every opportunity.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and predict that Obama will resign by New Year.
Now, this is kind of shaky, but bear with me. The Democrats are facing institutional death. Unless they cheat, massively and successfully, they are going to get smeared like bugs on a bumper.
Obama is going to lose the Senate and Harry Reid’s use of the nuclear option has freed it up for use by the Republicans. Nobody is going to be interested in any “power sharing” agreements. The staffer purge will be brutal and thorough.
The House is going to go even further Republican, and a lot of fun ideas are going to start occurring. How about defunding Air Force One, for starters? Vindictive? Sure! But a little bit of gleeful kick-him-while-he’s-down is certainly called for, so why not?
But, getting back to my prediction, who will the Democrat Party cadre want to blame for all this. The only answer is Obama himself. He’s a lame duck. He has absolutely no chance of getting any of his agenda passed, and any shenanigans with the EOs will absolutely guarantee the hardball financial judo moves I was talking about above.
The Democrats are going to be furious. A lot of the secrets that have been kept so far are going to come out. They are going to turn on Obama with all the fury of a drunken slut whose sugar daddy has abandoned her in Vegas with the room tab and a $500,000 casino debt.
Now, what’s the Bamster going to do? Do you really think he’s going to try to play his EO games when all the Republicans really have to do is shut down the Executive branch by defunding it? They can, they should, they will.
He’ll quit. Take his pension, go on the lecture circuit, or even possibly leave the country. At that point, I won’t care.
It’s that huge “Dose of Obama” that’s turning everyone’s stomach!!
Unless they cheat, massively and successfully, they are going to get smeared ...
Therein lies the rub.
worse than being about obamacare, the election is about the real root content Obama.
now that’s really bad for the cause
Obama will double down on stupid and legalize millions of foreign nationals.
Your scenario would be great.
Except I don’t think the Republicans have the fortitude to defund anything. Strangely, they are even more cowardly when in the majority.
Obama’s not going anywhere until his term is up.
But I do believe, in order to position themselves for 2016, Rats will turn on him with teeth bared. Someone has to take the blame, and it sure won’t be those who fancy that their careers at the government trough should continue.
I do not think this election will be a blow out. I think the GOP will win the Senate, pick up a few seats in the House, and pick up seats in state legislatures as well. But the wins, esp. in the Senate, will be narrow enough for the Rats to claim a moral victory.
The employer mandate has been delayed until after the election. Most premium increases won’t be fully known until Nov. 15.
But people know what’s coming and they are irate.
I’ve already received my premium notice from Anthem Blue Cross. For the second year in a row, I can’t keep my policy. There is a 60% increase for a different policy with the same level of coverage-from $480 to $740. I’ll have to step down to catastrophic coverage.
“Obama is going to lose the Senate and Harry Reids use of the nuclear option has freed it up for use by the Republicans. Nobody is going to be interested in any power sharing agreements. The staffer purge will be brutal and thorough.”
I would be shocked if the R’s did any of this.
This election can’t be about anything the Democrats did. /s

The Republicans should keep Harry Reid rules, pending Democrat passage of a constitutional amendment which is self-enforcing and which abolishes all Harry Reid rules. Are you sure even John McCain would argue against that?
Like most liberals, Obama has no shame. In addition it is all about him. Self sacrifice is not something he's likely to do for anyone, much less the country. His hubris will keep in office to the last bitter second and I can only hope the Democrats bleed every second of it.
The slimes is disgusting, they didn’t issue many endorsements this year but they were all for rats, they still LOVE what they call the “Affordable care act”.
“.. they still LOVE what they call the Affordable care act.”
So “affordable” premiums are increasing (even doubling for some folks), and it will get worse. If the NYT WERE HONEST, they would bring this up.
Fixed it.
