Leaving the “wrong” for later, as a photographer I have the sad duty to tell you photographs of the nude human body are among the most difficult challenges in photography.
Nude “selfies” are even harder. Cull images tend to be either embarrassingly bad or have a whiff of ‘nasty’ about them.
YMMV.

There may be nothing more nasty and catty than an emotionally charged gay man who’s been wronged by their guy. I recall a nasty feud between two guys I knew through a student organization in college that was just brutal.
The American people strongly support organized gaydom now. Didn't Reagan also favor having homosexual "educators"?
Let me quote my sis-in-law and say “I don’t do naked” but some people do.
I just can’t see saying that a person doesn’t have a right to take a picture of themselves naked, that seems crazy to me.
OK, most of the rest of us won’t want to ever see it, but I can’t say that in and of itself it’s wrong, or it means you’re a sex pervert or something.
Museums are FILLED with naked people.
Here’s a funny bit: when I took my young daughter to the Met she kept covering her eyes at the nudes and muttering “French...French...”
I honestly don’t know where she got that concept from, but that girl is to the right of Atilla the Hun.
This discussion has reminded me of the Seinfeld episode, where Jerry has a girlfriend who’s basically a nudist and this leads to the realization that there’s “good naked” and “bad naked”.

I did take full length photos of myself, in tighty whitey underwear. I did it before I went on a diet so I could get a real image in my head.
The photos were on an editing PC that was never connected to the web. I took them in my studio. They are logged in my archives as “fat ass.” No one will ever see them except my wife. And even she did not want to see them.
Really? Well what about all those nudes?
I was actually thinking about this some more.
I mean, there are not a lot of penises in the museums. So I was thinking if I were a psycho lefty I’d probably say that all that “art” is just some old-time women-exploiting porn.
And....maybe it is!
Yes, I read something about doing that the other day for a weight loss thing. It’s a good idea because otherwise it’s hard to realize that you’re getting thinner.

Why anyone let’s people take naked pictures of them these days is beyond me.
I see your point. On the other hand, I bet there are a lot of things people do in the privacy of their homes that I don’t want to know about - as long as it doesn’t impact my kids. Of course - just the ignorance and stupidity are there, so I suppose that enters into the class room as well.
And you know, if this David character had broken up with some good looking 20-something woman, the thread would be full of “Hey - how come I never got to see those photos of my hot teacher when I was a fourteen year old boy!?” (I’m a guy - and think the teacher sex, photos, whatever, is wrong in all cases.)
