Homecoming Blackout: Protestors attended the Oct. 18 homecoming tailgate and football game to make a statement for African-American lives.
On the afternoon of Oct. 18, as Missouri State students got ready to cheer on the football team against South Dakota University and tailgaters partied in BearFest Village, 35 protesters had a different plan for homecoming.
Homecoming Blackout, as the protest was called, was not about Ferguson. It was not about Michael Brown. It was not about Vonderrit Myers.
“It was a protest about black rights. It was a bigger scope of things. It wasn’t another Ferguson protest,” said Jakal Burrell-El, one of the protesters.
The format of the protest was simple. Protesters marched, some wore masks and some carried signs with statements such as “Don’t Shoot,” “Stop Killing Us” and “Black Lives Matter.”
These signs were the only way that the otherwise silent protesters communicated with the crowd at BearFest Village.
“We did not utter a word,” said Riana Clark, another protester who was at the event. “I stepped on the shoes of the girl in front of me at least 20 times, and I didn’t even utter an ‘I’m sorry.’ None of us spoke.”
The BearFest Village attendees, however, were not as silent.
Along with disrupting the protesters by standing in the middle of their circle or breaking their lines while they were marching, tailgaters engaged in verbal harassment as well, yelling racial slurs and telling them to “go back to Ferguson.”(continued)

As real as this was?
Diversity of what? Skin color? Moral beliefs? Social rights? Did you really think a tailgate party is the right place and time for such a protest? To me, freedom is the right to do what I want as long as I don't infringe the rights of others. Carry out your protest in a place where it doesn't impact the activities of others. If your cause is just, people will always take notice. If you're just trying to force yourself on others, that, too, will get noticed, but not in a good way.
You would think they would choke on the irony of these statements! There are more Blacks killed by other Blacks and Black mothers opting for abortions than by any Police Officer of any color! What a bunch a do nothing feel good idiots, you know democrats without any power.

They are trying to make the argument that Blacks are being killed/murdered by White Police Officers, I am simply looking at the fact that Blacks kill Blacks by far more than anyone else. The facts about Black on White crimes are not germane to their or my arguments as far as this story is concerned.

red type on black does not work well even when :backlit...such as on a computer monitor but translates to near complete illegibility... when used on signs or banners.

The white racial hostility and lack of sympathy for this black demonstration is ugly and unjustified but understandable. For decades there has been a double standard on racism where black racism and racist violence against whites is given a pass or completely ignored, while white racism, even for the most trivial examples is excoriated .
Now the pudendum is starting to swing back the other way. The sympathy and good will that most whites had for blacks fighting against Jim Crow Laws is largely gone because of this racist double standard. Black racist demagogues like Holder, Jackson, and Sharpton, and their leftist white toadies have poisoned the well with their double standards and this is the inevitable result.
The Amish are getting ANNOYING...their talents are running an oval shaped object or dunking an orange sphere through a metal hoop. /s

I was thinking the same thing. Black racism has morphed into black paranoia. I haven’t met a genuine white racist in decades, but I run into racists of color quite often.
“Black Lives Matter.”
Somebody should tell black people that, whether the “mothers” aborting children or the murderers gunning down their own.

True, there have been lots of alleged examples of white on black racist incidents which have turned out to be hoaxes.
