See chart at link
NPR>"The clear majority of its audience (67%) is left-of-center, and it is a particularly popular source for consistent liberals, who make up 41% of its audience. "
And in related news, the Pope is Catholic.
Only 3% of conservatives trust NPR, while 72% of liberals trust them. Yet both sides are equally taxed to fund their slanted news.

...and the way they deliver commentary with background noises of running water, massage parlor music and barbiturate induced monotones always sound creepy to me.
In a world of hundreds of cable channels, and millions of internet sites, why do we need some publicly funded liberal news outlet such as NPR in the first place??? It’s not as if there is a lack of news and information and opinion journalism out there.
Maybe we should talk about shutting down the Department of Education. While a great idea, I'm sure liberal women and teachers need even more motivation to get to the polls.
Sheesh.
I’ve also noticed that Rush Limbaugh and other talk radio programming seems to be alive and well in rural America, when I have traveled. The question is, however, how many are listening to NPR????
I’ve seen ratings for NPR radio in some cities, in which the Arbitron ratings show an asterisk for NPR, meaning that such a small number are listening that it doesn’t show up in the ratings at all.
I can’t listen to NPR. Even if I could stomach their leftist drivel, I wouldn’t be able to focus for thinking about the fact that conservatives are forced to pay for propaganda against them. This is something that Congress could do something about, there is enough verifiable proof that NPR has a leftist agenda, but they don’t. You can bet that if a conservative network managed to get public funding (in some alternate reality), the left would have shut it down before it got started. They know the power of propaganda.
NPR is always having fund raisers to keep their programming on the air...probably because of their miniscule listening audience they could never get real paying advertisers. Our local NPR network does have “sponsors” of sorts...just donors who support a single local program. However, these “sponsors” seem to fit the loony left audience and are mainly natural food coops and glorified head shops. I bet the marijuana stores in Colorado are big potential sponsors for their NPR affiliate.
Why would any “conservative” trust any media outlet? 3% of conservatives... right... trust NPR? doubtful
I'd trust them to lie to me. Does that count?
lol
The result of four-plus decades worth of consistent efforts to drive listeners like us away.
‘And in related news, the Pope is Catholic.’
I am not sure that the present Pope is Catholic, thank you!
Are you talking about 1320 AM?
For one thing, NPR helps liberals make believe they are moderates, thinking NPR is neutral, or balanced.
yep
I'm comfortable waiting till after the election to defund them. In fact I advocate NOT defunding them in total...Instead knock off 5-10% a year, over multiple years. Like boiling a frog, you want to do it s l o w l y.
