America Has Lost Faith In Competence Of Leaders
IBD ^ | October 24,2014 | PATRICK J. BUCHANAN

When this writer was 3 years old, the Empire of Japan devastated Battleship Row of the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. Before I was 7, Gen. MacArthur was in an office in Tokyo overlooking the Imperial Palace, dictating to a shattered Japan.

In 1956, President Eisenhower, impressed by the autobahn he had seen in Hitler's Reich, ordered a U.S. Interstate Highway System built, tying America together, one of the great public works projects in history. Within a decade, the system was on its way to completion.

In 1961, John F. Kennedy said the United States, beaten into space by Nikita Khrushchev's Soviet Union, would put a man on the moon and return him to earth within the decade. In July 1969, President Nixon, on the deck of the carrier Hornet, welcomed home Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins of Apollo 11.

Whatever became of that America? What ever became of that can-do nation? What has happened to us?

This October saw the vaunted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention fumbling over basic questions on how to protect Americans from an Ebola epidemic in three small countries of West Africa. In September, an intruder with a knife climbed the White House fence, trotted across the North lawn, walked through the unlocked front door of the president's house, barreled over a female officer, and ran around the East Room before being tackled by a Secret Service agent going off duty. The president had just departed.

Days earlier, an armed security guard in Atlanta with a violent criminal past was allowed by Secret Service to ride an elevator with Barack Obama.

Last summer came reports that 60,000 children and young people from Central America had walked across the border into the United States, overwhelming our Border Patrol.

I have 100% CONFIDENCE in the INCOMPETENCE of our current-day leaders!

Our “leaders” have sold America’s supremacy, to China.

America needs to take back our productive capacity, and stop buying everything from China. We need to make stuff here.

Neither party, is doing one single thing, about this.

America has entered a post Christian neo pagan era of decadence. It is not the first nation to reach a zenith, only to decline. Material wealth eventually saps a people’s spirituality and moral underpinnings. Epicurean behavior becomes the norm and is celebrated. The quality and policies of their leaders are merely a reflection of themselves. It should never be forgotten that Clinton and Obama were elected and then reelected. It did not happen in a political or social vacuum.

All the good will of the most of the American people for authority in government in dealing with Islamic terrorism evaporated when the government redefined terrorism and re-classified everything they don’t like as “terrorism.” They took the power we gave them to fight Islamic terrorism and they turned it against us.

They are manhandling grandmas and babies at the airports because they are suspected “terrorists.” They are spying on us. They are violating the constitution at will. They examine Americans as terrorists and they name real Islamic terrorists as innocent, even when they commit an act of terror clearly. They trained our cops across the nation from community policing under the constitution, to acting like a invading army keeping track of the local “terrorists.” They are full of themselves. They run terror and emergency drills where the terrorists are not Islamic and the crisis is natural. We sacrifice life in Iraq and no one can really tell why we picked Iraq to defeat. We then left Iraq to Islamic radicals - terrorists - and they went about slaughtering all the Christians who remained in Iraq. They kiss Islamic ass even as it kills. They put Islam in our schools and name us an Islamic Nation. Generally, Americans don’t feel like kissing Islam’s butt rather either kicking it’s butt or laying off. The government acts counterintuitively.

Everyone has been adversely touched by it from one degree or another. It’s like psychological warfare. They will ultimately lose that war on the American people and our constitutional freedom in the total erosion of respect for the US government - both parties who brought us here.

Most of them are traitorous b@$t@rds...republican and democrat.

The democrat party has been high jacked by the socialist/Marxist crowd and the republicans high jacked by the globalist perverted capitalism crowd.

NO ALLEGIANCE to the country of their birth...none!

Power, control, greed rule the day with the politicians up in D.C..

These are elected SERVANTS of the people! There is little to no sense of servitude up in Warshington with the exception of a few.

Politicians have lined their pockets with campaign cash from multi-national corporations and foreign interest in return for policy that favors every damn country in the world except....AMERICA.

We’ve been sold out for a few bucks y’all.

In our present era there are very few competent leaders that run for public office. Public office has become a haven for narcissists and incompetents. Obola is the best example of this. He was a junior senator with no experience in actually running anything. I saw him on tv when he said that he was running his election campaign, so I guess that would qualify him for the highest office in this country. He was elected twice and we now have a serious disaster on our hands. He was even given a nobel piss prize as soon as he was elected. What a joke.

"Whatever became of that America? What ever became of that can-do nation? What has happened to us? "

The National Socialist Democrat Union Party took over all of our schools, from K thru 12, plus all colleges. That's all it took.

The teachers are the ones who destroyed America as we knew it.

The U.S. Interstate Highway System would be an impossible project today.

Eminent Domain opponents would bury the whole country in lawsuits.

They actually tore down my grandmother's house in the 70’s to build an I-95 on-ramp.
